PRICES FOR TURKISH SUMMER COTTAGES HAVE INCREASED BY 40 PERCENT… THE CHEAPEST STARTS FROM A THOUSAND TL PER DAY

Prices in summer houses, which stood out with the pandemic, increased by 40 percent compared to last year. Stating that foreign demand is strong, sector representatives said, “Let the domestic tourist get his hands on it quickly. Prices will rise even more in the 2022 summer in Turkey,” he said.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the tourism sector is aiming to catch up this year, 2019, which is called the year of records in tourism in Turkey.

During this period, the contract period also began in the summer houses in Turkey, which are one of the strongest alternatives for the domestic tourist. Both cottage rental platforms and realtors are sitting at the table for new contracts with cottage owners in January 2022.

According to the information provided by the representatives of the sector, it is expected that this year there will be a heavy demand for renting a cottage for domestic tourists as well as foreign tourists…

.
IN SUMMER, PRICES CAN RISE TWICE AS MUCH

Noting that prices are on average 40 percent higher than last year, industry players note that these prices may rise to two times closer to the summer period.

February – March, foreign tourists rent summer houses, but domestic tourists are looking for it like May, “the industry players said. During this period, prices will have increased even more. At the same time, there may also be difficulties in finding a place. A domestic tourist who wants to rent a cottage should plan from the winter period this year,” he says.

A member of the Turkish Travel Agencies Association (TÜRSAB), stated that January is the contract period in the sector and said, “We are currently in talks with the Turkish landlords. We are also seeing an increase in general holiday house rents in summer house rents in Turkey. This year, prices on the coastline will start the season with a minimum increase of 40 percent,” he said.

.
ACCOMMODATION WILL START FROM THOUSAND TL PER DAY

Explaining that the daily price of a 2 bedroom apartment in a standard apartment far from the sea in the Kemer, Kaş and Kalkan region last year was 600 TL, said, “This year the daily rent of such an apartment will start from 1,000 TL. In the summer season, it can rise to 1,300 TL. Again, while a 3 bedroom apartment is 2,200 TL, this year it will start from 3 thousand TL per day. while a 4 bedroom villa is 4 thousand TL, it will start from 6 thousand TL this year in 2022,” he said.

.
THEY DON’T RENT MONTHLY

Explaining that during this period, many homeowners on the coast line have started to prefer not to rent for 12 months, said, “Instead of giving 4 thousand TL per month from rent in the summer season, they want to get that money daily. In the winter period, more house renovations, etc. they began to perform operations such as. It has become difficult to find a monthly rental house in this region,” he said. As explained homeowners have set the price in dollars and euros in previous years and taken the rent with TL, continued as follows:

“However, some landlords want to rent directly with dollars or euros this year. They’re prioritizing the foreigner.”
