ABOUT RELEX SMILE IN TURKEY
The patient eye is anesthetized with eye drops and a lid speculum is positioned to prevent the eye from blinking. A refractive lenticule and small incision is created inside the intact cornea.

DEFINITION OF RELEX SMILE
Cornea – transparent part of the eye covering the iris and pupil.
Astigmatism – the front surface of the eye is less round and more irregular in shape so the image does not focus clearly on the retina in the back of the eye, which can result in poor vision and glare.
Lid speculum – an instrument used to keep the eyes wide open and free from blinking.
Incision – surgical cut made in the skin during surgery or treatment.
Short sightedness – objects that are closer can be seen clearly but those that are away can’t be seen.
Corneal ectasia – inner layers of the cornea weakening.
.
FIRST DAY
The patient will attend a consultation with the ophthalmologist and will be advised about the procedure and their condition. The patient will then be taken through a couple of tests that are required before the treatment. If desired, patients can spend the day to rest and attend the clinic the next day.
.
SECOND DAY
Relex Smile doctor eye surgery in Turkey is performed. Surgery usually takes 10-15 minutes for each eye. If the treatment is done on both eyes then the duration will take 25 minutes using Visumax Femtosecond laser device. The surgery is done with local anesthetic and once the surgery is over and the patient is feeling better, they are able to go to their settlement.
.
THIRD DAY
Patients will attend a post surgery check up and consultation. If they are approved to be in a good, healthy condition and the surgery results were all successful; the patients are advised with post treatment care requirements and are ready to go back to their normal routine.
