.
IVF TREATMENT IS FERTILITY TREATMENT PERFORMED BY COMBINING THE SPERM AND EGGS IN TURKEY SPECIAL LABORATORY. ONCE COMBINATION IS MADE THE RESULTING EMBRYO OR EMBRYOS ARE THEN PLACED INTO THE WOMEN’S UTERUS AND GROWS HEALTHILY INTO A BABY. INFERTILITY IS A FAILURE OF COUPLE AFTER TRYING TO HAVE A BABY FOR TWO YEARS, HAVING SEXUAL INTERCOURSE AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK USING NO PROTECTION. THE CHANGE OF PREGNANCY CAN BE RELATED TO THE INCREASED TIME OF INTERCOURSE, FREQUENCY AND THE AGE OF THE COUPLE. THERE IS CHANCE OF PREGNANCY AROUND 20-25% WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH, 60% WITHIN 6 MONTHS AND 80-85% WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR THAT DO NOT USE ANY BIRTH CONTROL METHOD. THE REMAINING 15-20% HAS AN INFERTILITY PROBLEM. IVF TREATMENT CAN HELP WOMEN TO BECOME PREGNANT IF PARENTS WILL HAVE PROBLEMS WITH OVULATION OR EGG QUALITY, BLOCKED FALLOPIAN TUBES OR ENDOMETRIOSIS AND IF THE PARTNER HAS PROBLEMS WITH SPERM COUNT OF MOTILITY AND IF THE PATIENT IS USING DONOR EGGS TO BECOME PREGNANT.

IVF TREATMENT VITRO FERTILIZATION PROCEDURE

For the In Vitro Fertilization in Turkey hospitals apart from improving the person birth rate at 100% and may go through procedures as;

Ovary Stimulation – around 7-14 days close to the menstrual cycle, a fertility drug will be given that will stimulate the ovaries to develop multiple mature eggs for fertilization. Patients will also need to take a synthetic hormone like leuprolide or cetrorelix to keep the body from releasing the eggs from too early.

Follicle Development – patients will need to visit the doctor frequently every 3 days to have blood hormone levels checked and ultrasound measurements of the ovaries will be done. This allows for the development of the follicles to be monitored.

Trigger Shot – patients will have an injection called trigger shot that causes the eggs to mature fully and become capable of being fertilized. 36 hours after the injections the eggs will become ready to be retrieved.

Gathering the Eggs – patients will be given anesthetic and an ultrasound probe will be inserted through the vagina to check the ovaries and see the follicles. A thin needle is inserted through the vaginal wall to remove the eggs from the follicles. Around 8 to 15 eggs will be retrieved.

Fertilization – an embryologist, will examine the eggs before they are combined with the partner’s sperm and incubated overnight. If the quality of sperm is poor or fertilization was unsuccessful during previous cycles then a technique called Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injections (ICSI) will be used, which is done by a single sperm being injected directly into each mature egg.

Developing Embryos – around 3 days after the egg retrieval, eggs that were successfully fertilized will become 6 to 10 celled embryos. A few of these embryos will be will become blastocysts with a fluid filled cavity and tissues that are beginning to separate into placenta and baby by the fifth day.

Embryo Selection – the embryologist will select the most viable embryo to be placed into the uterus between 3-5 days after the egg retrieval. If there are any extra embryos, they can be frozen for use in the future IVF Cycles.

Planting the Embryos – depending on the patients age and diagnosis, between one to five embryos will be placed in the uterus by a thin catheter inserted through the patient’s cervix. During this procedure ere is mostly no use for anesthesia.

Successful Implantation – if the treatment is successful, an embryo implants in the uterine wall and carries on to grow into a baby. There is a higher chance of pregnancy if there is more than embryo is transferred to the patient including a multiple pregnancy. Patients are able to have a pregnancy test around 2 weeks after the embryos are placed into the patient’s uterus.

The procedure will take around four to six weeks to complete one cycle of IVF Treatment. Patients will need to wait a few weeks for the eggs to mature. The patient and partner will need to spend around a few hours at the hospital whilst the patient is having their eggs retrieved and fertilized. Around 3-5 days later patients will need to attend a next appointment where the embryos will be inserted into the uterus. Patients will not be required to stay in hospital during their treatment.
