6 KNOWN MISTAKES IN TURKEY HAIR TRANSPLANTATION

Hair loss is one of most important problems that is especially common in men, but also often encountered in women. Decadence is one of the most common problems in men. Hair transplantation applications, which are the only permanent solution to hair loss due to the fact that it is a common problem, are quite common procedures today. But for this reason, there is a serious information pollution related to hair transplantation in society. Turkey Medicals gave information about the known mistakes in Turkish hair transplantation.

1- Wrong: Hair transplantation is not performed in summer

Transplant is one of the most common false information about hair transplantation that hair transplants cannot be done in the summer. Transplantation is one of the most common misconceptions about hair transplant surgeries. Hair transplantation can be done out 4 seasons a year. It is only necessary to be careful about the considerations that will be indicated by the Turkish hair doctor for a certain period of time after the operation. For example, it is not recommended to enter the sea and pool for the first month after a hair transplant. Each person can have hair transplant in Turkey in any season by making the necessary plans on these issues.

2- Incorrect: Hair transplantation can be done only by taking root from the beard or only from the chest

A hair transplant is a procedure in which hair is removed one by one from a safe area called the donor area and Transplant to places with dilution. The area used as a source is the area starting from the back of the ear and going towards the nape. This zone is called the safe zone. Everyone always has hair in this area. Hair in a safe area is hair that is resistant to loss. Sometimes the roots in the donor area may not be enough, and in this case, the roots can also be taken from the chest or beard. For example, if the patient needs 4500 roots while 4000 roots can be taken from the back of the head, the remaining 500 root deficiencies can be completed from the beard. But it is not right to perform a hair transplant only by removing the root from the beard or chest. These zones can only be used for support purposes. The priority is always the nape of the neck because the hair follicles in this area are permanent and have high retention success.

3- Incorrect: The sapphire method is better or The DHI method is best

There are major manipulations, especially with regard to DHI and sapphire techniques. While only the centers that perform DHI hair transplantation say that the best newest method is DHI, important information impurities circulate, such as the fact that the centers that perform sapphire transplant claim that sapphire is the best. Sapphire and DHI methods are used as transplant methods separately according to the person, sometimes the two methods are used together. In the sapphire method, after the roots are taken with the FUE method, channels are opened first with sapphire tips selected according to the thickness and length of the roots with sapphire tip pens, and then the roots are placed in these channels. In the DHI method, the roots taken are placed one by one in the DHI pens. DHI pen tips are selected according to the thickness and length of the root. The roots are transplanted directly to the area to be planted without opening a canal without opening a canal. Decanting with sapphire pens is done in areas where there is a lot of space in some patients, and then transplanting with DHI pens is done to tighten the hair between them. In other words, the two methods can be used together. These two methods do not have any superiority over each other. DHI is a better method to avoid damaging existing hair, especially in patients who have a lot of thinning and need to be tightened in intervals. Sapphire tips are more advantageous in patients where the gap is obvious and large numbers of transplant should be performed. The choice of method is decided at the preliminary consultation of the doctor in Turkey.

4- Incorrect: There is no risk of complications in hair transplants

Hair transplant is in the group of small surgical procedures. Therefore, like all surgical procedures, there are potential side effects, risks of complications. This transplant increases depending on whether the transplant center is a medical institution and whether the people doing the cultivation have sufficient experience and knowledge. The most common side effects are infection and necrosis. Infection is a side effect that usually occurs in non-sterile places. Most often, there is a risk of infection in centers that are not sterile and do not use special materials. Infections such as HIV, hepatitis can be transmitted to different patients. Necrosis, on the other hand, is a partial gangrene-like condition that occurs when the proper method is not used, causing the circulation in the area to be disrupted when opening the channels in the centers. In very severe cases of necrosis, skin collapses may occur. In patients, sometimes there may be consequences up to permanent damage that will lead to the need for very serious correction operations.

5- Incorrect: Unshaven hair transplant is suitable for everyone

Shaving transplant is a method that is desired by everyone, especially because it provides a great advantage for an early return to social life, but unfortunately not every patient is suitable for unshaven transplant. The biggest disadvantage of unshaven transplant is that a limited number of plantings can be done in one planting session. If unshaven transplant is required for those who have more than one gap, many repeated sessions should be performed. ”The Turkish hair doctor does my hair transplant in any center I will go to” The biggest handicap in many hair transplant centers is due to the fact that the people who perform the procedure are not even medical staff, let alone doctors. In many centers, preliminary interviews with a doctor and the fact that the procedure is not performed by a doctor are among the important problems. Usually, patients do not see the doctor when they come to the procedure. The transplant process is carried out by technicians whom the patient does not know at all. Especially for patients abroad, this situation creates a situation that undermines trust on behalf of our country.
.

When the operation is to be performed, the patients should know which technique will be used as well as who will perform the operation. That is why it is so important that the procedure is performed under the supervision of an expert doctor in Turkey from the very beginning.

.
6- Incorrect: The FUE method is a transplant method, like DHI and sapphire

One of the most confusing issues in hair transplantation is that the FUE method is considered to be the transplant method. In fact, the FUE method is a root retrieval method. In other words, the hair is taken by the FUE method and planted by the sapphire or DHI methods.
