CAN HAIR TRANSPLANT IN ISTANBUL BE APPLIED TO EVERYONE?

1- What are the causes of pathological hair loss?

Man or woman, everyone complains about hair loss at some time in their life and says, ‘Am I getting bald?’ he’ll be worried. Hair loss can have many causes. Sometimes there may be a serious underlying disease. Any medication taken (cyclosporine, antitroid drugs, anticoagulants, drugs used in cancer treatment), radical changes in hormone levels (thyroid diseases, pituitary diseases, diabetes), serious physical or mental stress, air pollution, scalp infections or skin diseases (psoriasis, eczema, lymphoma), nutritional disorders (protein and iron deficiency) can be the cause of hair loss. There may be serious hair loss after childbirth or severe diseases, but this type of hair loss is usually temporary.

2- What is male pattern hair loss?

Hair follicles are under hormonal control. Androgens and the thyroid hormone (troxin) are the most important hormones. While some of the hair follicles are more sensitive to androgens (male hormone), some of them are sensitive to troxin. The cause of male-type or Androgenetic type hair loss is that dihydro-testosterone, a male hormone, leads to weakening in sensitive hair follicles. Androgenetic type hair loss is permanent and‘although it is mainly seen in men, it can also be seen in women’. This type of hair loss of genetic (familial) origin usually starts from the forehead and hills. Androgen-sensitive hair follicles are weakened first and then completely lost. Hair follicles on the nape and sides do not shed because they are sensitive to troxin.

3- Is there a solution to baldness?

To date, no effective treatment method has been found for androgenetic baldness. The only effective treatment method is surgical treatment, that is, hair transplant. If the hair loss and balding areas on your head have reached a size that bothers you; it will be appropriate to consult with a Istanbul plastic surgeon about this. Plastic surgeons have developed countless techniques and surgical methods in this regard for many years. The last point reached in this regard is Hair Transplantation with the microimplantation technique, in which micrographs are transplanted. This method provides the most natural image. Micrographs 1-4 hair follicles.

4- Can Hair Transplant be applied to everyone?

In balding areas due to wounds and burns or due to some of the cicatricial skin problems, if the subcutaneous fat tissue is completely lost, it can sometimes be difficult for the transplanted hair to survive. In such cases, flap surgery and tissue expander surgeries may be required.

5- How is the best Hair Transplant performed?

Hair Transplant with FUT technique: Follicle Unit is shortened from Transplantation. A strip as large as possible is removed from the scalp in the nape of the neck. The place where the strip is removed is immediately closed with an aesthetic stitch and there is usually no visible mark in this area. Micrographs are prepared from the extracted scalp and these grafts are placed in small slots opened in balding areas.

Hair Transplant with FUE technique: Follicle unit extraction is shortened. The hair to be transplanted is taken from the nape of the neck in the form of skin islets containing single, double or more hair follicles. Since the space areas remaining from the skin islets are very small, they shrink and heal on their own and there is no need to put stitches. These grafts are placed in small slots opened in balding areas.
.

Comparison of Hair Transplant Techniques: The only difference between both hair transplant techniques is the method of removing hair strands. In the FUT method, hair is obtained by removing a piece of skin in the form of a strip from the neck and separating it into roots. The area where the hair has been removed is closed by sewing. Depending on the rigor and technique shown, it is possible to obtain a trace that is not very obvious. In the FUE method, the hair follicles are taken individually from the nape with special needles in the form of islets containing single, double or more roots. Since there is no cutting process, there is also no sewing process, the absence of marks on the neck is one of the most important advantages. In FUE, the processing time is longer. The FUE method is a more bloodless method. In both methods, the procedures are performed with local anesthesia. In addition to the fact that the procedure is trackless and bloodless in the FUE method, the most important reasons for preference are that the waiting time between sessions is shorter and the result is reached in a shorter time. With the FUE method, it is now possible to get even more hair in a session than previously could only be achieved with Fut.

.
7- What are the factors that affect the result in Hair Transplant?

Factors such as hair color, hair type and hair frequency affect the result of hair transplant. Each of them may have advantages and disadvantages. Although there is a difficulty in follicle separation in curly hair, the density and aesthetic results are very good. Light colored hair gives more natural results. Wavy hair provides natural density and allows a person to have different hair styles. Dark, straight hair is easily planted and the desired density can sometimes be reached in the first session, but it is difficult to capture the natural image. Again, straight hair with thick strands is also suitable for transplantation, but there are difficulties with the hair style in the transplanted hair. Transplant, in addition to many factors that affect the result depending on the hair type, the knowledge and skill of the Hair transplant team, the precision in preparing the hair follicles to be transplanted, the design and aesthetic understanding of your doctor are factors in obtaining successful and natural results.

8- How many sessions are required in Hair Transplant?

This is a topic that is most curious and often misinformed by patients. In hair transplant, the hair frequency can never reach the original hair frequency, but a natural appearance can be achieved so that it will not be noticeable. Anyway, the goal is to correct the appearance. The more often the hair can be transplanted, the more natural the image will be. The number of sessions in hair transplant determines the amount of the person’s balding areas.

In the FUT technique, the maximum possible amount of hair is tried to be removed from the nape region, this amount is determined by the looseness of the person’s nape skin. The thickness of the strip to be removed The open area is planned in such a way that it can be easily closed with a seam without creating tension. How many roots will come out of this removed strip also depends on the person’s hair frequency.

In the FUT technique, an average of 5-6 thousand roots are obtained. If necessary, the second Hair Transplant session can be performed after 6 months. In the FUE technique, the hair to be taken in one session depends on the limits of the person’s tolerance. This period usually does not exceed 8-10 hours. During this time period, 5-6 thousand roots can be taken using the fue engine. If this amount is enough for the hair follicle to close the person’s opening, the procedure will be completed in one session. It is enough to wait 3 months for the second session Hair Transplant at FUE.

9- After Hair Transplant in Turkey?

Transplant area will be left open after hair transplantation and it will be allowed to be slightly crusted. The area where the hair is removed is covered with dressing for one or two days in both techniques. You will be able to take a shower after the day. When you act in accordance with the postoperative care information provided to you, all crusts will disappear within about 10 days. It is necessary to protect the surgery area from the sun. If the FUT is made, if it is 14-15. during the days, the stitch on your neck will be removed. Within six to eight weeks, your newly transplanted hair will fall out. Despite the hair loss, the transplanted hair follicles continue to live, and after about 3 months, your hair that has fallen out comes out again and continues to grow without shedding for life.

10- Is the hair transplanted with a Hair Transplant different from the usual one?

The only difference between your transplanted hair from before is that it will not fall out again. You can cut it as long as you can, stretch it, paint it.

11- What is the appropriate time for Hair Transplant in Turkey?

Transplant is suitable for all seasons from the surgical point of view, but it should be borne in mind that after Hair Transplantation, the transplanted area should be protected from the sun for at least three months.

Stay with love.
