ABOUT TOOTH EXTRACTION IN TURKEY

.
DURING A TOOTH EXTRACTION PROCEDURE, THE DENTIST WILL NUMB THE AREA AROUND THE TOOTH TO BE REMOVED USING A LOCAL ANESTHETIC. THE TOOTH IS THEN CAREFULLY LOOSENED AND REMOVED FROM THE SOCKET. IN SOME CASES, THE TOOTH MAY NEED TO BE SECTIONED AND REMOVED IN PIECES TO ENSURE A SMOOTH EXTRACTION. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT TOOTH EXTRACTION SHOULD ONLY BE CONSIDERED AS A LAST RESORT WHEN ALL OTHER OPTIONS HAVE BEEN EXHAUSTED. IT IS IMPORTANT TO DISCUSS ALL AVAILABLE OPTIONS WITH YOUR DENTIST TO MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION ABOUT YOUR DENTAL CARE.
.

.
For the tooth extraction by dentist in Turkey there are reasons for the extraction of the teeth such as;

Crowded mouth – teeth need to be extracted for the mouth to be prepared for orthodontics (braces), or other treatments.

Infection – caused by tooth decay or damage extending to the pulp of the tooth. Infection is so severe that antibiotics do not cure.

Gum disease – periodontal disease, which is an infection of the tissues and bones that surround and also support the teeth. It may cause loosing of the teeth or conditions ending up in a tooth extraction.

.

.
TOOTH EXTRACTION PROCEDURE

Before the extraction of the tooth, the patient is given an injection of local anesthetic or pain medicine to numb the area of the extraction. If there is more than one tooth to be removed then general anesthesia may be used. If the tooth is impacted then the dentist will cut the gum and bone tissue that covers the tooth using forceps. Once the tooth is extracted, a blood clot will form in the socket. The dentist will pack a gauze pad into the socket to stop the bleeding. Sometimes if needed, self-dissolving stitches will be used to close the gum.

General anesthesia – variety of medications given to ensure unconsciousness, loss of  control of reflexes. The patient is put to sleep to not feel any pain or discomfort.

Local anesthesia – induces absence of sensation to a specific part of the body.

Tooth pulp – center of a tooth.

.
FIRST DAY

The patients will attend a consultation with the dentist and will be advised about the treatment and their condition. The patient will then be taken through a couple of tests that are required before the treatment. The process will begin once everything is ready. The process is done under local anesthesia but if there are more than 1 tooth removals then general anesthesia may be used. The treatment will take around 30 minutes to perform and may increase depending on the situation. Once the tooth is removed and the patient is feeling good they must return to their settlement and rest for the rest of the day. The patients are then able to return to their destination or continue to have good times in Turkey. If desired, patients can spend the day to rest and attend the clinic the next day.
