THE IMPORTANCE TO PROTECT THE SKIN FROM THE SUN

Along with the fact that the sun manifests itself, it is curious about the harm of the sun to the skin. Turkey Medicals member and a Turkish Specialist in Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery, Operator Doctor told you about the importance of protecting the skin from the sun and what is curious about the sun spots that are often encountered.

Sun protection is essential at any age and in all seasons. Thanks to this, the harmful effects of harmful solar radiation are reduced. Painful and red skin burns may appear on the body due to excessive exposure to the sun. The severity of the burn can lead to skin cancer in the future. In addition, it can also cause wrinkles, sun spots and cracking of capillaries.

The most important protection is the habit of using sunscreen. The main purpose of sunscreen is to reflect and distribute the sun’s rays. Sunscreens in the form of gels, lotions and sprays have an SPF number. This shows how much protection it can provide against sunburn caused by light exposure. Sunscreen should be rubbed into the skin half an hour before going out and reapplied regularly. Sunscreen is also necessary in winter. Therefore, sunscreen should be used both in summer and in winter.

Sun exposure can cause blemishes and wrinkles

Sun-induced blemish and wrinkle treatments should be determined specifically for the individual. It is very important to protect the skin from the sun after treatments.

Chemical peeling method: Chemical peeling is preferred for mild skin blemishes. During this procedure, the skin is peeled off and targeted for treatment. Chemical peels can damage the skin in a controlled manner. This will allow the existing stains to go away while the damage heals on its own.

Enzyme peeling method: In this treatment method, improvement is achieved by targeting the enzyme tyrosinase, which provides the formation of melanin in the skin. Since the formation of melanin is suppressed, the skin color will turn on and the appearance of spots will decrease.

Laser method: It is often the preferred application for deep and large stains. By shooting at the areas with spots with laser beams, the skin regenerates itself. After 3 weeks after the procedure, the effect of the procedure becomes noticeable.

PRP method: It is the regeneration of tissue by placing a sample of the patient’s own blood in the test tube of the PRP kit and injecting the platelet-rich plasma portion of the blood into the stained skin area.
