WHAT IS A ‘SMART LENS’ THAT HAS BEEN MENTIONED SO OFTEN LATELY, AND WHAT DOES IT DO?
.
Multi-focus lenses, popularly known as ‘smart lenses’, are lenses placed during into the Turkey eye cataract surgery. I’ve been applying these lenses to 90 percent of patients in Turkey for over 10 years. With the advancement of technology of multifocal lenses in Turkey, patients began to see closely after cataract surgery well, and these lenses began to be used much more often. In order to ensure good vision far and near, as well as good vision at medium distance, we have started to apply trifocal, that is, three-focus lenses. Middle distance; at distances where vision quality should be important, such as computer use distance, car indicator distance, vision became clearer in three-focus lenses. But these lenses may not suit everyone. The experience of the doctor is very important in determining who to apply it to very well. Patient satisfaction is undoubtedly much greater when the right application is applied to the right patient and a high-quality lens is worn.

SHOULD THESE LENSES BE APPLIED TO ALL PATIENTS WITH NEAR AND FAR VISION PROBLEMS?
.
This practice is ultimately a cataract surgery. Cataract eye surgery in Turkey requires much more care. Because these lenses should be very well centered and do not slip in any way. If the number remains away, after two months the remaining number is reduced to zero again by laser.

WHAT IS ‘SUPRACOR’, A CLOSE LASER TECHNIQUE IN TURKEY?
.
We apply a close-up laser technique called ‘supracor’ instead of an intraocular lens to young patients who do not have cataracts. We call ‘presbyopia’ the problem of not seeing the nearer clearly that occurs after the age of 40. Those who have never had eye problems before may also start having problems reading books and newspapers, sewing or working on a computer after the age of 40. Presbyopia, an age-related near-vision problem, should not be confused with hypermetropia that occurs when a child or teenager. After presbyopia begins to develop, a person needs to keep the book, journal, or menu at a distance of more than 35-40 CM, which is the reading distance. In addition to blurred vision, there are headaches, eye pain, fatigue and drowsiness when reading. Supracor is a lasik method that can correct far and near vision in one session. Thanks to its own special software, the cornea is gently reshaped by applying ‘excimer laser’ to the cornea. Purpose of Supracor treatment; it is to improve your eyesight so that you can read the articles you encounter every day on a newspaper, restaurant menu, computer or mobile phone without glasses. In a single session, the problem of both distant and close vision is corrected. It is applied to both eyes and is a 10-minute operation. Pain and pain are not felt during the operation. There are some eligibility criteria for Supracor. After these are detected by examination and measurements, treatment can be applied. Supracor can also be applied to any eye suitable for the Lasik laser eye surgery method in Turkey.
