Before surgery, patients are prescribed only blood thinners and some prostate medications, except that they continue to take the same medications they are taking. They don’t have to come to the surgery hungry. Patients are asked to protect their eyes very well for the first week after surgery. It is important to rest, use the prescribed eye drops and avoid getting water in the eye. Using eye drops correctly in the given time is of serious importance in reducing the risk of infection.”
