Op. Doctor stated that the operation took about 15 minutes and that the patients did not need to come hungry for the operation. He continued: “In the operation, the eye is numbed with drops and the operation is performed in a period of about 15 minutes. Patients go home the same day and come for an outpatient check-up. Before surgery, patients are prescribed only blood thinners and some prostate medications, except that they continue to take the same medications they are taking. They don’t have to come to the surgery hungry. Patients are asked to protect their eyes very well for the first week after surgery. It is important to rest, use the prescribed eye drops and avoid getting water in the eye. Using eye drops correctly in the given time is of serious importance in reducing the risk of infection.”
