Interviews Good Party Mersin MP, the term “sexual intercourse with animals” contained in the proposal is not true, it is necessary to take a serious position on this issue, he said. Instead of “sexual intercourse,” sidali said, “animals he suggested the use of the phrase” engaging in sexual abuse.”

AK Party Tekirdag deputy one of the first signatories of the proposal, expressed that this is one of the most discussed articles, said:

“Why was it called sexual intercourse and not rape or anything different? ‘Abuse’ is a very broad concept, a concept that can also be used for abuse. A man who loved a dog also complained and sexually abused him

it can go as far as it can be said. A concept that can be evaluated by subjective value judgments. Since the concept of’ sexual intercourse ‘ has passed in the current state of the law, we interpret it broadly and move forward from rape to this form burundurduk.”

As a result of their discussions with the Ministry of Justice officials on this issue, said that they agreed that this definition is more appropriate and that the concept of “sexual relations” remains in terms of legal legislation.

Commission President also asked how the concept in question could be replaced with the phrase “rape”, Deputy Director General of legislation of the Ministry of Justice, said that Animal Protection

He recalled that “sexual intercourse”contained in the law will no longer be a crime when the proposal becomes law.

“Sexual assault”,” sexual abuse”,” sexual assault “in the Turkish Penal Code amendment in 2004. he explained these definitions, stating that the terms” relationship ” were preferred.

“Animal sexual abuse” is called, so far the act of sexual intercourse contained in the law will sanction a much broader action, he said.:

“Since the term sexual intercourse is already in the law, we thought it would be healthier to maintain the meaning loaded to date. Rape is not actually used in criminal law. The only place where rape is used in criminal law is TC 154.

In the article, it is used in crimes of rape on the ground, that is, rape on the pasture. The meaning of the word rape may be a meaning that will evoke sexual crime in society, but in the legal sense, rape is as crossing the border identifying. We have such terms as rape of authority in administrative law, rape of title in Civil Code. We believe that it would be more correct to prefer expressions specific to criminal law, since these words will also be mixed.”
