MY LIFE FOOD IS “SUCCESS”

Our ancestors said, “What is your intention is destined for what”. This is exactly what happened with the lawyer Sedef Selçuk Çelik. About two weeks ago, we met with Ferhat Göktaşlar (my friend). I was very interested in the topic when he said “My lawyer started doing podcasts too” while talking about the podcast during a conversation. Obviously, there were no lawyers around me who had recorded podcasts yet.

“Ferhat, can you introduce me? I was wondering, why is he doing podcasts, ” I asked.

“We’ll see, I’ll ask, etc.” he said we passed. We’ve put it on the flow.

Last week, Ferhat (Göktaşlar) tried to arrange a day and time to bring me together with Ms. Sedef. Honestly, when there were no hours or days left, I said, “Let’s not force it, if it happens, let’s keep it if it doesn’t happen.” It will be, and it will be so beautiful.

Friday November 5th, 2021 I left the house to meet the woman whose name I only know and whose podcast story I was curious about. I don’t like to be late for my appointments, and I don’t like to be kept waiting. Unfortunately, even though I left decently, traffic stopped due to three different accidents between Bahçeşehir and Mahmutbey Istanbul. There’s no other way out, I have to wait. “I mean, there’s something going on with this. I can’t even go to the meeting. Either very bad or very good…” I’m late, after all. As I was late, I couldn’t find the place within 150 meters of the area and I kept turning around, it was like a nightmare. Meanwhile, my voice is stressed, tension is gushing out of every point of my body. I finally reached their office located in Yeşilköy. I walked in the door and they took me to a huge terrace. Oh, the sun, the beautiful weather, and all my stress is behind me. With Mrs. Sedef’s kind welcome and friendly face, the environment was thoroughly illuminated. Before the conversation got dark yet, I found out why Ms. Sedef is from Canakkale before I got to the podcast part. That’s when there was no stress left after that moment, nor any other feelings.

DEAR SEDEF SELÇUK ÇELIK; MAY WE BRIEFLY GET TO KNOW YOU?

I am a woman whose life is a success. As a result of every success I have achieved, I aim to have served something good, to make people and myself happy, and to produce something. This thing can be a quantity, as well as an idea, an emotion. In short, I have made it a philosophy for myself to get up from where I fell in this life with a handful of soil. This philosophy has improved my productivity as much as it has improved my practical intelligence. In my job, it is very important to be able to manage chaos in a good way. Therefore, in the event that comes before me, it may not be enough just to set out with the available evidence, sometimes the sentence you set up to win, the question you ask may be more important than the ones you have. When I set out with this philosophy, I found that I was more productive and more successful. As I said at the very beginning, it was a very good way to achieve my goals in life.

.
HOW HAS YOUR LIFE JOURNEY CHANGED AFTER YOUR UNIVERSITY EDUCATION?

Since I was a little girl, my dream has been to become a psychologist. This dream continued after graduating from law school. But when I started working, I saw that there is actually a psychological process at the heart of every case, and in professional parlance it is called “chaos”. Now, I am preparing my clients who consult with me in this infrastructure that I have established for the psychological process of the trial first in the interviews we conduct, and thus we manage this process better bilaterally. Every time I win a client with this method, I feel that my family has grown more than my job. When they agree, I maintain my profession with a greater love. Every day I start the day with great enthusiasm and complete the day with the same enthusiasm despite the fatigue of magic. In fact, what I have said does not fully answer this question, my life journey is very complicated and difficult, but this will show the reader my individual experience, but there is a message that I want to give in my answer; I want to explain this message with a word from Pierre Corneille;

.
IF YOU CAN’T GET WHAT YOU LOVE, TRY TO LOVE WHAT YOU GET”

The result is not always the end, you can turn this result into a happy ending. All you need to do for this is to create a backyard in it, no matter what job you are doing. Aim to love what you get with what you produce in this backyard. It worked when I tried it, I’m sure everyone who has tried it will succeed.

When we look at your resume, we come across a wide range from “Capital Market Expertise” to health law. Which field do you enjoy practicing law the most?

.
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO START THIS QUESTION WITH A STORY

“Muhammad Jalalettin Rumi, and Mevlana, better known by his first name, is on his way to the mosque on a Friday, someone cuts off his horse, Shams- Tabrizi…

O great teacher of the Seljuk, Beyazit Bestami says, “I have known my Lord by right,” Hazrat Muhammad (P.a.v) He says, “I did not know my Lord by right.” Now I ask you, is Beyazit Bestami the great, Hazrat Muhammad (P.a.v) Is it big?

Maulana also responds with some anger; Bestani looked at the sea from the shore and said that as far as his eye could see, I knew my Lord by right, but Muhammad dived into the sea, swam, swam, but could not find the end. Of course, Hazrat Muhammad is great.

Shams answers; O Mevlana, if you say so, why are you wandering on the shore?”

ONE CANNOT HAVE AN IDEA WITHOUT HAVING KNOWLEDGE. UĞUR MUMCU

Unfortunately, it is more difficult to access information by listening in Turkish society. Our habit of reading books has not developed for a reason, so we try to learn by listening, not by reading, and we know as much as we understand from what someone else understands. I am against it, so I study and read about everything I am interested in. I have received Expert Training in Employment Law and Actuarial Law, Positive Psychology and Relationship Counseling, Health Law trainings, as there are usually more intense cases related to employment cases, divorce cases, compensation cases and health law. I am not an expert witness, but my knowledge gained from these trainings helps me a lot when studying and criticizing the expert’s report, which is duly received in each case.

I completed my postgraduate education at Istanbul University Faculty of Economics in the department of Capital Markets Specialization. This area is considered quite specific and outside the law. Because we lawyers evaluate many cases on the basis of evidence. The Cloud system has not yet fully found its place in the law. I needed this training in order to learn how to think about the money market and assumptions based on my own deficit. Today, thanks to the knowledge and experience I have learned from my master’s degree, I am able to offer more open-ended consulting to client companies. This training has broadened my perspective and allowed me to provide consultancy services to my clients in their projects outside of the law.

I’m having trouble answering the area question you’re enjoying, and if I specify one area, it feels like I’m embarrassing the other area. Therefore, I answer this question as I enjoy all areas related to law. Although it seems impossible, I see that the training I have received in every case definitely works. I strongly recommend my new colleagues to get extra education if they need it in every field they are interested in, not just their loved ones.

You share the same office with your husband Çağrı Çelik. Are you moving your work life home? Or does it happen that you move the house to work? (Laughter)

13th of my profession.i am within the year, there are 6 years of this. The call went through the same office as Steel. It seems impossible, but we have never had any problems so far 🙂 As with doctors, client privacy is very important for us, every client sees us both in the office, but each of us serves our own client. I know we haven’t seen each other in the same office in days like this. Believe me, as long as you correctly determine your place in the process and work within the framework of mutual respect, there is no problem. Although we do not carry work home in principle, we also support each other in some cases by exchanging ideas.

I have just witnessed the words of your wife Çağrı Bey, “My wife is so busy that I can’t reach her for a long time, I can’t see my wife,” personally. It seems that your pace is too high. May Allah not spoil it. You mentioned that you received a “Doula” education in order to be able to give birth naturally before the birth of your son Aden. What kind of experience was it? How has being a mother changed your life?

So far, what I have described has been related to my professional vision. But this question is about the most amazing experience I’ve ever had in this life. As I mentioned earlier, I aimed to get an education in everything I was interested in, but also to do the job I was doing the best and right way was among my goals. Doula training was actually about my own experience. After that, I also studied 0-7 years of educational coaching. But since I found out that I was pregnant with Aden, I realized that motherhood is not something that a third person can teach you. To me, only a child can teach motherhood to a mother. And a mother can only teach her child to be a good person and be happy.

.
USUALLY EVERY MOTHER USES THIS SAYING; “I LOVED BEING A MOTHER MOST IN THIS WORLD”

I am also one of these mothers, with only one difference; it is not necessary to give birth to be a mother, the motherhood hormone only brings you fear and anxiety, all other emotions grow and multiply every time you look at it. If you have any living being and you are afraid and worried about its development, health, happiness, you are the mother. Before I became a mother, I only loved sweet beautiful babies and criticized mothers. But after I became a mother, I loved all the babies and all the mothers. This has been the most fundamental change in me. In addition, I try to act with the awareness that Aden is a trustee for me and try to put his superior benefit in front of my own truths in the decisions I make for him.

.
VERY RECENTLY, YOUR PODCAST BROADCASTS HAVE STARTED. HOW DID YOU CROSS PATHS?
