AN AESTHETIC TOUCH IS POSSIBLE WHEN HAND VEINS TOO OBVIOUS!

Thinning of the skin on the hands and arms with age can cause veins, i.e. veins, to become more prominent. This condition, which is usually seen in thin women or those who do serious sports and weight training, can cause visual discomfort to the person over time. Noting that the fact that the veins on the hands are obvious does not pose a health problem, Turkey Medicals member and Turkish Cardiovascular Surgery Specialist Prof. Dr. said that if a person wants to get rid of this condition with aesthetic concerns, these veins can be made invisible with a simple procedure that does not require anesthesia…

.
TOO PRONOUNCED VEINS CAN CAUSE VISUAL DISCOMFORT TO A PERSON

Quite often, the focus of cosmetic procedures is the facial area. If it is the hands that are an indicator of decaying age, then most often they are ignored. In general, the number of people who want to get rid of vascular images on their hands is much lower than those who want to have aesthetic treatment on their face or body. As the skin on the hands and arms becomes thinner with age, there are some changes. We can list these changes as follows: the elasticity of the skin and vascular walls, the water content of subcutaneous fat, collagen and tissues is lost. At the end of this, the veins in the hands and arms (‘veins in the balls’) become prominent. The veins on the hand begin to look like a ’cable’. These veins look even thicker and fuller as you play sports, carry weights.

.
USUALLY YOUNG AND MIDDLE AGED WOMEN COMPLAIN IN THIS CASE

Although the veins on the hands and arms appear with age, a significant part of the people who complain about the presence of these veins are also young and middle-aged women. This group usually consists of people with a slim build, who play serious sports to maintain their body structure, and who work out with weights. The lack of enough fat under the skin, exercise, and especially weight lifting can make the veins on the hands and arms even more noticeable. With exercise and weight training, our arm muscles expand in diameter. This, in turn, pushes the vessels to the surface of the skin and makes it more noticeable.

.
PRONOUNCED FORMATION OF VEINS ON THE HANDS AND FEET DOES NOT CREATE ANY HEALTH PROBLEMS

Veins that we see in different diameters, from thin to thick on the leg, are usually varicose veins, which are a symptom of a vascular disease called ‘venous insufficiency’. However, the veins we see on our hands and arms are not sick, they are normal working veins. Therefore, their presence does not create a health problem. The visible veins on the hands are the veins used during surgery, in case of hospitalization, serum/drug administration. Therefore, their destruction is not an approach that will be recommended to everyone. On the other hand, since these vessels are not the main (deep) veins in the arm, their elimination does not lead to a health/circulatory problem. The important thing is that patients who experience ‘visual discomfort’ from the presence of these vessels are selected correctly, their positive, negative aspects and expectations are evaluated before starting treatment, and a few are left in place during the treatment process.

.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET RID OF CONDITION WITH A SIMPLE PROCEDURE WITHOUT ANESTHESIA

The most commonly used treatment to eliminate unwanted veins on the hand is superficial foam sclerotherapy, which is also used for capillary varicose veins on the legs. During this procedure, a very thin needle is inserted into the corresponding vein. The vasoconstrictor drug is administered intravenously in a foamy mixture obtained by mixing carbon dioxide and oxygen. No anesthesia is required. Only the introduction of the needle is felt. When the drug is administered, the vascular line first turns white, and then gradually thins and disappears. The duration of this disappearance varies between 2-6 weeks depending on the diameter of the vessel is at the end of the procedure, a special pressure glove or a wrapped elastic bandage is put on the hand to prevent the vessel from reopening. According to the number of vessels to be intervened, the foam sclerotherapy process takes 15-60 minutes. At the end of the treatment, you can return to normal life, drive a car, play sports, provided that you avoid lifting weights for 48 hours. It may take more than one session to achieve the desired goal. December intervals should be at least 7-10 days.

.
THE SUCCESS RATE OF THE TRANSACTION IS 98%

The method of foam sclerotherapy, which is applied to the vessels of the hands, legs, face and different parts of the body, it is a method that has been approved by supervisory authorities and has been used for a long time. In different studies, a 98% success rate is reported with foam sclerotherapy performed on the hand. In comparison with the pure administration of the vasoconstrictor drug, its administration by mixing and foaming with carbon dioxide and oxygen increases the effectiveness of the method. The substance called “foam sclerosant” comes into contact with the vessel wall for a longer time, the side effect is reduced because the drug is diluted.
