What is a Closed Rhinoplasty in Turkey?

If you are thinking of having a rhinoplasty, you are familiar with the terms open and closed rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty operations can be performed with both open and closed techniques. Although both techniques have advantages and disadvantages compared to each other, the interest shown in closed rhinoplasty operations has been gradually increasing recently.

Closed surgeries, which have entered our lives with the development of surgical techniques, eliminate the problem of scar formation. Thus, it is not obvious that the operation has been performed, and since minimal intervention has been performed, the recovery time of patients after the operation is shortened; in addition, the pain they suffer is minimized.

What is a Closed Rhinoplasty?

Closed rhinoplasty, known as endonasal rhinoplasty, means removing an incision from the inside of the nostrils during changing the shape of the nose or correcting the intranasal structures.

Unlike open rhinoplasty, an incision is not removed on the skin and no scars remain after surgery. The absence of the possibility of scarring after closed rhinoplasty stands out as the most important advantage for patients who want to have a rhinoplasty. However, the advantages of closed rhinoplasty are not only that it does not leave traces.

What are the Advantages of Closed Rhinoplasty?

The root of the advantages of closed rhinoplasty lies in the use of minimal incisions.

There are no visible scars after closed rhinoplasty operations,

The recovery process is quite short after closed rhinoplasty operations,

After closed rhinoplasty operations, people can return to their daily lives in a shorter time,

Swelling and bruising formation are less after closed rhinoplasty.

In order for all these benefits to be experienced, the expertise and ability of the surgeon performing the operation are of decisive importance. Surgeons who have proven their expertise in their field perform closed rhinoplasty operations like artists and with meticulousness.

Although there are many benefits of closed rhinoplasty operations, this method cannot be applied to every patient. If the structural disorder of the bones and cartilage located in the intranasal septum is too much, open rhinoplasty may need to be preferred.

As we mentioned at the beginning of our article, there may be situations where both closed and open methods are advantageous in rhinoplasty operations. The important thing is that the needs of patients are met and their expectations are met with the expertise of surgeons.

Natural Rhinoplasty with Closed Rhinoplasty

Those who have problems with nasal functions and those who are not satisfied with the shape of the nose can also see the benefit of closed rhinoplasty operations.

Before these operations, the nose shapes that are most compatible with the patient’s face and do not harm the naturalness of its appearance are determined.

With the touches of skilled and experienced surgeons, patients can achieve their ideal nose shape and also get rid of intranasal structures that prevent them from breathing. Patients who recover quickly and return to their daily lives in a short time can also witness an increase in their quality of life.

Wishing you healthy days..
