NOSE SURGERY AND CHIN AUGMENTATION PERFORMED SIMULTANEOUSLY

A successful nose surgery is a nose operation that your friends notice, strangers don’t understand, and pleases you.

What is the appropriate age for nose surgery?

The earliest recommended age for nose surgery is 15-17 years, when 90% of the nose growth is completed. Anyone with a good health condition at an older age can have surgery. In some congenital extreme disorders, it needs to be done at a much earlier age.

.
NOSE SURGERY PLAN

The nose is an organ that can make a huge change in the face alone, but it is very important to evaluate the proportion of the nose to other parts of the face such as the chin and forehead when shaping the nose in aesthetic nose surgeries. Success in nose surgeries depends on harmony, a beautiful nose can be made alone, but a nose that is disproportionate to the face will not look beautiful.

Although the problem in the nose and its relationship with other parts of the face are understood at first sight, I usually interpret the photos I take from the front and side together with the patient on the computer screen. The Rhinoplasty plan is made easier today with the help of a computer to detect problems and create a more accurate profile, at the same time it allows the patient to understand the problem and the way of solving it Decently, and the agreement between the doctor and the patient in Turkey is clearer. Many patients who have come with a focus on Nose Surgery see that the problem can also occur in neighboring areas such as the jaw, forehead, tickle.

It is a common condition for the chin to be further behind than the nose and forehead, and this causes the nose to look larger than it is. Due to the smallness of the chin, it will be a wrong decision to shrink a large nose and the nose will not be compatible with the face. In this case, instead of fitting the nose to the chin, I perform a normal nose surgery and usually recommend a Chin Augmentation procedure that can be performed simultaneously or later.

Sometimes, due to the excessive cupping of the nasal root, the forehead can be seen with a bomb and the nose arched. In this case, it may be recommended to fill in the nasal root. If you lower the nasal arch to the root level instead of filling the nasal root, you will get a nose that can look beautiful in children, but can look quite funny for an adult.

NOSE SURGICAL TECHNIQUE

Recently, there have been a lot of surgical changes in aesthetic nose surgeries. Nose surgeries are now performed using less traumatic techniques than before, there is less swelling and bruising, and the nose heals in a much shorter time. However, as the rigor in the operation increased, the operation time was extended accordingly.

Aesthetic nose surgery is performed to reduce or enlarge the size of the nose, reshape the tip, remove the nasal bump, correct the angle between the upper lip and the nose, shrink the nasal wings, narrow the nostrils, as well as to eliminate breathing problems, in addition to the goals aimed at obtaining a nose that looks beautiful and beautifies the face. Deconstructs the nose, reduces the size of the nose, reduces the size of the nose, reduces the size of the nose, reduces the size of the nose, reduces the size of the nose, reduces the size of the nose, reduces the size of the nose, reduces the size of the nose, reduces the size of the nose, reduces the size of the nose, reduces the

Since all surgical entry holes(incisions) will be made through the nose, there will be no scars after surgery. Sometimes a larger working area may be required for very difficult deformities. In this case, the open surgery technique is used. Some surgeons tend to perform nose surgeries with an open technique all the time because the nasal tissues can be seen better and shaped more easily. Here, too, the trace is very small and disappears over time.

Closed nose surgeries

Most aesthetic nose surgeries can be performed using the closed technique. Undoubtedly, this also depends on the training, skills and experience of the surgeon. Advantages of closed nose surgeries;

1- Since the vascular and lymphatic pathways at the tip of the nose are not cut off, healing and passing of swellings are much faster,

2- The feeling on the skin of the nose returns much faster,

3- It is completely trackless.

The disadvantage is that it offers a limited working space for the correction of difficult problems, especially those related to the tip of the nose.

Open Nose Surgery

Its advantage; It provides a wide field of view and ease of movement, where even the most difficult nasal deformities can be solved.

The disadvantage is the prolongation of the healing of swelling and edema, long-lasting nasal tip edema. When done in good hands, there will be no visible marks.

I usually use both techniques when necessary, the intranasal incision technique I use allows me to start with the closed technique when I am not sure and continue with the open technique when necessary.

Mini-rhinoplasty

Very small corrections are sufficient for the correction of some minor nasal deformities. We call this type of nose surgery minirinoplasty. Mini-rhinoplasty is not a microsurgical technique, but a technical term that refers to the smallness of the procedure and that it will heal quickly. Most of the time, they are operations performed with local anesthesia and closed. Type-plasty surgery performed only at the tip of the nose, a rasping procedure performed on the back of the nose, or small revision(correction) operations performed after aesthetic nose surgery are among the operations that we can put in this group. There is no need for plaster or tampon after these surgeries.

Micro-rhinoplasty

This surgical technique, which has no place in the classical classification but is pronounced very often, means that aesthetic nose surgery is performed with microsurgical rigor using at least taraumatic methods and using very thin and small instruments. Aesthetic nose surgeries are only the shaping of the cartilage and bone of the nose and should be performed without touching other tissues as much as possible, which requires being very meticulous, even the thin membrane on the cartilage should be kept out of the procedure.

Good planning and a fine operation technique are essential in aesthetic nose operations.

The new shape of the nose is achieved by cutting and shaving the bones and cartilages that make up the nasal skeleton, adding them to the necessary places and shaping them. At this time, the cuts that block the respiratory tract and make it difficult to breathe are also corrected and the physiology of the nose is normalized. I found breathing problems in 70% of my patients, and half of them had advanced breathing disorders. Although the nose is the most important element of beauty on the face, it has a very important function, such as breathing. When performing rhinoplasty, this function should not be impaired, or even the existing problem should be corrected.
