RHINOPLASTY SURGERY IN TURKEY

There is a lot of information on the Internet about rhinoplasty, which is one of the most increasing number of plastic surgeries in our country in recent years, and these surgeries can be performed easily in hospitals where there is almost every plastic surgeon.

.
WHO SHOULD IT BE ?

Congenital nose development is insufficient or noses whose shape becomes bad as a result of impact are definite aesthetic candidate noses.

As everyone knows, aesthetics is a unique condition for a person, and depending on the general opinion in society, a bad nose, a good nose has emerged. The nose is first of all a breathing organ, an olfactory organ and an organ that forms the main contact of the face.

A person who wants to have surgery should first sort out their nose-related problems and focus on the main problem that bothers them.

Difficulty breathing?

The main element that he does not like in the form ?

If a person is uncomfortable with the shape of the nose, he should consult a plastic surgeon and have this operation if he is absolutely stable. The patient should not wake up with the conviction that some social problems will be solved by changing the shape of the nose, and excessive hopes should not be placed on this shape change.

.
I HAVE A BREATHING PROBLEM, IS IT NECESSARY FOR ME TO BE AESTHETIC TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION ?

It is necessary to have a nose operation to solve the breathing problem, but this is not plastic surgery. Breathing is not related to the shape of a person’s nose. The main elements that affect breathing are the shapes of intranasal structures that are invisible from the outside.

If a patient with breathing problems has health insurance, he can solve this problem without paying a fee and get rid of this complaint without changing the shape of his old nose after surgery. Because only the internal structures are touched in the breathing opening surgeries called septoplasty.

Our patients are mostly people who have breathing problems but want to correct the shape of their nose during this surgery, which is an advantage for these people, they have had both surgeries within the same surgery period and have had problems once, and they also pay less to health insurance than normal plastic surgeries, because the septoplasty operation, which we call breathing opening surgery, is covered by health insurance.

.
DURATION OF SURGERY

According to the method, according to the surgeon’s experience, it takes about 2 – 4 hours depending on the complexity of the person’s nose. If we add to this period that the patient is taken to the operating room and put to sleep and observed for a while after waking up, it takes an average of 3 – 3.5 hours.

Closed nose surgeries take about 1 hour less than open nose surgeries.

.
DURATION OF HOSPITALIZATION

Hospitalization period may be 1 day later in public hospitals and medical schools, 1 day later in private clinics, or discharge on the same night.

Pain

As with any surgery, the pain occurs during nose surgery, especially in the first 24 hours, but there are no complaints with appropriate pain relief injections in hospitalized patients, with painkillers given after discharge, it is possible to prevent nose pain, the severity of which decreases.

.
TAMPON – PLASTER

When the nasal bone is broken for shaping purposes during nose surgeries, a nasal cast should be used to preserve the new shape and a nasal buffer should be applied to keep the internal bleeding under control.

The plaster is usually changed 2-3 times, and this process takes an average of 2 weeks. Since the swelling that occurs after surgery decreases over time, the existing plaster becomes abundant and becomes useless. That’s why plaster changes are being made.

The tampon is kept in direct proportion to the bleeding risk between 3-7 days and the end of the process is decoupled. Contrary to what is known, tampon removal is not extremely painful and this pain can be completely eliminated with wetting containing anesthetic substances applied before removal.

.
THINGS TO PAY ATTENTION TO

After nose surgeries, the body feels as if it has been hit on the nasal bone, and edema, that is, swelling and bruises occur in the area in response to this nasal fracture.

80% of swellings and bruises disappear in the first 2 weeks, 95% of the nose takes its current shape after 1 month, and reaches its final shape after 6 months.

The first 1-month period is important, during which it is necessary to avoid blows aimed at maintaining the shape of the nose, not to lie on the side, not to wear glasses and excessive nasal sucking movements should be avoided. The logic of these measures is that because your nasal bone is broken, the bone healing process takes about 1 month, during which the nasal bone, which is unstable, can lose its current shape very easily, and even for this reason, it is circulated with a cast during the first 2 weeks.

.
DOES SURGERY HAVE INEVITABLE CONSEQUENCES?

Nose surgeries are complex surgeries that look simple but require intensive experience in terms of the perfection of the aesthetic result.

Nowadays, surgeons are now struggling for a nose shape that is close to nature, so pinocchio noses that used to appear in the past, extremely upturned noses are no longer seen today.

Nasal breathing problem does not occur before surgery or after surgery. If there are no complaints in plastic surgery, the breathing part is not touched.

If you have breathing problems, these parts are treated with simultaneous surgery, but if you have a disease in which the respiratory tract is blocked as a result of the growth of nasal mucosal parts, which are more common in allergic bodies called turbinate hypertrophy, some more growth may occur in the turbinates 1-2 years after surgery due to this genetic structure, and this can cause problems.

.
THE NEED FOR SECONDARY SURGERY

Although it is rare after nasal aesthetic operations, a number of details that a person does not like may appear, and some falls may occur if the massage is not applied properly at the tip of the nose.

Secondary surgeries should be performed by the same surgeon whenever possible. It can be performed at least 1 year after the first surgery.

It takes less time than the first surgery and passes more comfortably after surgery. If the nasal bone is not broken, a cast is not put in, but a tampon is also put in this operation to control bleeding.

.
AGE LIMIT

Rhinoplasty is performed on individuals who have completed the development of the nose. this is why it is not done before the age of 18.
