RULES TO PAY ATTENTION TO AFTER RHINOPLASTY IN TURKEY

Rhinoplasty allows you to get a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing nose that is compatible with the face. It is of great importance that the patient fully trusts his doctor in rhinoplasty and that they decide on the procedure together.

Turkey Medicals member and JCI hospital Clinic Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialist Prof. Dr. gave information about what should be considered in Turkish rhinoplasty.

In rhinoplasty, the basic principle is to achieve the desired shape by maintaining the basic functions of the nose. If the patient needs it, many other procedures can be performed during rhinoplasty surgery. Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialist Professor Doctor gave information about what should be considered in Turkey best rhinoplasty.

It should not be done before the age of 18

The nose is a functional organ, and its main task is to breathe. Functional rhinoplasty aims to achieve a nose that breathes beautifully, has no breathing problems, performs the functions of the nose, and is also compatible with the face. It is necessary to wait until the age of 18 for the completion of the development of the bone and cartilage structure in the nose. In rhinoplasty, the patient should not be satisfied with the shape of the nose.
.

It is very important that patient decides on the shape to be made together with processing doctor.

.
An unnecessary intervention should be avoided

Rhinoplasty is performed under general anesthesia and there are different methods. It can be done by cutting the middle of the nose, open or closed, or completely cut from the inside. Inside the nose, cartilage and bones are shaped. The basic principle today is to shape the nose by doing the least damage to the nose and removing the minimum tissue. Therefore, it is aimed both to preserve the functions and to obtain the desired beautiful shape. If necessary, the bone is broken, the cartilage is removed, but it is necessary to avoid unnecessary intervention.

The technique to be performed is determined by the person

In the open technique, a small incision is made on both sides of the nasal passages in the middle of the nose and on the skin in the middle of the nose, and the skin of the nose is completely removed. In the closed technique, an incision is made only through the nostrils. The difference is in the decollete of 2-3 mm. In the open technique, it is possible to see the structure of the nose, cartilage, bone completely. In rhinoplasty, the open and closed method do not have any superiority over each other, the most appropriate technique should be determined according to the patient. The structure of the nose in men and women is different. A slightly more upturned nose is preferred for rhinoplasty performed on women. The tip of the nose of men is not removed, it is planned to give it a shape at a more right angle.
.

The operations performed in Turkey do not change, only a shape that can be suitable for men and women is preferred.

.
Several operations can be performed simultaneously

There should be some time between the first examination and the operation Dec rhinoplasty. The patient should think in great detail, ask his questions at other appointments and trust his doctor. After the doctor and the patient have agreed, the operation should be decided. And this requires at least a week. During rhinoplasty surgery, fat injection, eyelid surgery, lip augmentation, a number of implants at the tip of the jaw, or fat tissue injection can be done to enlarge or shrink.

The profile of the face can be completely beautified

A complementary procedure called profiloplasty, such as removing the missing ones or removing the excess ones, can also be performed when the patient is viewed from the profile. If the patient has a belt in the nose when viewed from the profile, it can be removed and the nose can be made proportional to the tip of the jaw. It can also be combined with operations such as interventions on the cheekbone areas called zygoma, or even bombarding if there is a depression in the forehead. These are the necessary actions to get a beautiful silhouette when viewed from the profile.

Surgery should not be performed with burnt skin

The patient should not use vitamins and herbal products that he does not know what they contain for about 2 weeks after surgery. These, like blood thinners, can increase bleeding and disrupt wound healing. It is not good to stand in the sun too much before surgery and surgery should not be performed with burnt skin. Also, medicines and herbal products should not be used after surgery without consulting a doctor. It should be protected from the sun until the bruises and swelling pass.

After rhinoplasty, the following should be noted;

– The patient can return to normal life after 1 week, since the molds have been removed, it is enough to protect the nose.

– Simple exercises such as walking can be performed 1 week after surgery.

– Collective games and sports that require effort can be started later.

– Sports activities that require lifting weights should be avoided.

– It can be swum with the head out, without diving deep.

– If you are going to ride a bicycle, you should be careful and cautious.

– Parks and areas where children play with the ball should be avoided.

– Caution should be exercised if a baby or child is to be held on the lap, as this may cause a blow without realizing it.

– 2 Days after the operation, the head can be taken back and entered into the shower. after 1 week, a comfortable shower can be taken.

– Controls should not be disrupted between the 1st, 3rd and 6th months and the 1st year.
