TASTE OF SUMMER, HOLIDAY NAME BODRUM BODRUM

Since the normalization process in Turkey on 2021 July 1, population growth has accelerated in Bodrum coves. And with the Eid holiday, it peaked. But despite this crowd, the basement is still the basement… It surprises you with its wonderful and calm coves that come when you deviate from a path you do not know. My advice is to start your day here early. I think there are two moments you should enjoy because: sunrise and sunset.

Thermometers are showing 34-35 degrees during the day… The wind blows ‘sweet’ from the south at 13-15 kilometers per hour… The sea is’ calm‘, decidedly ’little exciting’ decidedly… Humidity is 90 percent in the morning, but it’s in the 45-50 band by noon… But don’t think it’s all about the Daily sunshade, the struggle for life watching ‘Hard’.

.
DISTANCES NARROWED

Since the normalization process on 2021 July 1, population growth has accelerated. It also peaked with the holiday holiday. With the start of the basement construction ban, the trucks were relatively free. But this time, the intensity of vacationers began. Because it didn’t just affect traffic:

Prices increased by an average of 20-30 percent in each area. A meal that was 40 TL a week ago in one of the well-known places in Bodrum was 60 TL this week.

During the winter period, the rules were forgotten in the district, which will be an example of ‘respect for Corona measures’. Masks were thrown, distances were narrowed both on public transport and in places due to the crowd.

Increased demand for Energy has also caused electricity to go more often. Bodrum also received its share of drought, the pressure of the water running from the tap fell.

.
TAXIS CAN’T KEEP UP

Rents have risen with increasing demand. Last September, the rent for the house, which was TL 2500, rose to TL 4000. Homeowners who knew this opportunity were in a hurry to remove their tenants and enter into new contracts for their homes.

Even in areas where there are the most expensive and popular places, it has become a problem to get from place to place. At taxi stops, there are meters of queues until morning.

There is talk that even pirate taxis who came to Bodrum this year with giant fleets cannot grow vehicles. Some citizens living here also began to drive pirate taxis.

To spend the day on a beach that has made a little name, you must lose a minimum of 350-400 TL. Young people pay about 150 TL for low-alcohol, abundant fruit-juicy cocktails in these places. There are also more modest places where you can lie on a sunbed, provided that you spend TL 100 per day, but you need to book days in advance.

.
BREAKFAST AT GUMUSLUK WITH MANDARIN JUICE

Even though it’s crowded, the basement is still the basement… It surprises you with its wonderful and calm coves that come when you deviate from a path you do not know. My advice is to start the day early. I think there are two moments you should enjoy because: sunrise and sunset…

Before breakfast, you must salute the sea, throw a few saplings. Every resort has options, but my favorite for breakfast is Gumusluk… You can sip tea a few centimeters from the sea. And if you forget Tangerine water, you will be unfair to the land of the peninsula.

Don’t be afraid to get lost here. Enter the street where your steps lead you. You will surely discover something that touches life.

To shop, choose local stalls. Sunday, as you can find a fruit and vegetable market in every resort, do not skip the night markets where manual labor products are sold.

In order not to ruin your holiday, there are very small things you need to do: book all the places in advance, whether during the day or in the evening. Examine the menu of the place where you will spend time in advance.

May the most beautiful selfie in front of the bougainvillea be yours…

A TRADESMAN SEASON NOTES

Those who want to relieve the stress of coronavirus literally flocked to Bodrum. Bodrum tradesmen, on the other hand, were unable to prepare enough due to the uncertainty of the course of the disease and the measures that could be re-taken during the summer season, which began with a partial opening. Suppliers are experiencing difficulties in delivery due to incredible traffic and endless infrastructure work. All this is reflected in prices.

The limitation of hours brought to musical venues caused the face of Bodrum, known for its entertainment life that lasted until the morning, to change. Adding to these is the water problem, the basement shopkeepers, who are waiting for the summer season all year, are very overwhelmed. And the public is helpless in the face of senseless rising prices in the summer.

Businesses that had been closed for 1.5 years were not ready for the summer. They have no staff. No one pays enough, so there are no employees. Prices are also very high.

The basement is always ready for crowds like this. Artisans are experienced in this regard. But he didn’t expect such a crowd. When the bans were lifted, it was treated as if there was no pandemic.

The prices are too high. Service is not enough. As someone who has lived here for 12 months, today 5 people have paid 165 TL for coffee in Ortakent.

Prices per night in boutique hotels are between 2-10 thousand TL.

Bodrum has installed a system that can accommodate guests from every budget with different space and service options. Of course, it is possible to meet very extreme prices, but this is not the case everywhere. Exchange rates high as 1 USD is 7.60 TL, 1 EURO is 10.40 TL, 1 GBP is 12.20 TL.
