WHY HAS TURKEY BECOME A CHEAPER HOLIDAY DESTINATION?

Among the popular holiday destinations in the UK, Turkey took the top place in the list of places where sterling has gained the most value against the local currency.

To a new survey conducted in the UK, Turkey has become one of the most preferred destinations for travel by Britons this holiday season due to its reasonable prices.

A new survey conducted in the country has revealed that Turkey, Spain and Greece are the most affordable resorts for Britons, was reported. Poland and Croatia have also been on the rise recently.

.
STERLING HAS LOST VALUE, BUT

The British press has noted that vacation in many places has become more expensive for Britons due to the fact that the sterling pound has recently decayed against the euro and the dollar, while Turkey is among the few exceptions.

88 percent of the respondents stated that it is profitable to take a vacation in Turkey because the pound is increasingly valued against the TL. Among the popular holiday destinations in the UK, Turkey took the top place in the list of places where the pound sterling has gained the most value against the local currency.

.
STERLING HAS GAINED ABOUT TWICE ITS VALUE AGAINST THE TL IN THE LAST YEAR

2 Salaries for a British vacation Turks spend 12 salaries. A British family of 4 people can make a 5-star holiday in Turkey for a minimum wage of 2, while for a Turkish citizen with a minimum wage, this means a 1-year salary.

iHealth, “recently, there have been reports in the UK about how Turkey has become cheaper by half on a sterling basis. The pound sterling, which was at the level of TL 8 in 2019-2020 before the exchange rate crisis experienced by Turkey, is over TL 20 today. This has made the holiday in Turkey almost free for the British.” was said.

.
IT’S ALSO CHEAPER THAN CHEAP

According to British media reports, “Turkey has always been an affordable summer holiday option for Britons, but now it is also cheaper than cheaper. Compared to the pandemic, sterling has become more than twice as valuable as TL,” the statement was used. The average figure that a British person will pay for a 5-star holiday in Turkey, including a plane, this summer is a total of £ 3,500. There are also many options for Britons on the southern coast, where a family of 4 people can book an all-inclusive 5-star holiday for a total of £ 2,500.

.
3 MINIMUM WAGE

Even a person earning the lowest salary in a country where the minimum wage is £1,400 can take a 1-week 5-star holiday with his family in Marmaris or Antalya, including a plane, with a maximum salary of 2, 3 months, while the same holiday corresponds to almost 1 year’s salary of the minimum wage in Turkey. Holidays in more affordable, low-star hotels are even cheaper than staying at home for an Englishman.

5-star vacation is now very difficult:

For a middle-income Turkish citizen, it was a dream to spend 1 week of vacation in a 5-star hotel this summer. For 2 adults and 2 children, the cost of spending a day in a 5-star, but average hotel has increased to 5 thousand TL. This increases to an average of 35 thousand TL for a 1-week 5-star holiday, and when the average airfare of 600 TL is taken into account, the travel expenses of 4 people become 5 thousand TL. If you want to go to a luxury hotel, the figure that will be paid for 4 people increases to 100 thousand TL.

Even protection from the sun is expensive:

The hikes from needle to thread were also reflected in the prices of sunscreens. Today, the price of a certain quality sunscreen cream has increased to the level of 100-150 TL. Social media is “available ” in it flew. This summer, we will be protected from the sun by praying that ‘Allah, you protect me from the sun’,” the joke is being made.
