Before the Rhinoplasty Surgery

You may have a nose that is not compatible with your face, where a number of deformities are present. It is not fate to live with these deformities. You can have rhinoplasty surgery for a beautiful nose that is suitable for your face, within natural limits, free of deformities. However, there are a number of preparations that you need to know and do before this process.

You have decided to have rhinoplasty surgery. But if you do not know what to do, this article will be enlightening for you.

The first thing to be done before the preparations for rhinoplasty surgery is to make a decision. Making a decision means that you are aware of the conditions and deformities that bother you in your nose and you want to get rid of these situations. The decision-making process is not a situation that you can do in a 3-5 day time frame. It may take years for you to realize your deformities, accept them and decide to embark on this process. For example, as a result of a blow you received as a child, it can complete the development of the nose with a deformity. There may be a fracture in the nasal line. Since the nose will develop incorrectly in line with this impact, your airway problems may also occur. Since it will be difficult for you to notice this condition from childhood, you may have noticed it years later.

Another one of the preparations before rhinoplasty surgery is the research phase, the stage after making a decision. There are many techniques and tools for rhinoplasty surgery that have been developed with the influence of technology. You can find out which technique is most suitable for you by talking to the masters of the business. We surgeons determine the deformities of our patient who comes for rhinoplasty surgery first, and then we tell you which technique we recommend by listening to you during our detailed examinations. Our personal recommendation is that you do not meet with a single surgeon. He should consult with many surgeons that you choose your own doctor within the framework of trust by seeing the differences between them. Your research process may not be a process that you can complete in a short time either. It is useful not to rush. This will be the healthiest.

After consulting with many doctors during your research phase, another stage is the choice of a rhinoplasty doctor.

You have become aware of your deformities for rhinoplasty surgery. You wanted to have surgery, you decided and started the research process. You have met with many doctors, you have received different ideas. According to the data you have, you have chosen the most suitable method for you and your doctor. And then what?

The next stage of preparation will be on your surgery. This process will be managed by your doctor and his team.

We can also list this process as follows;

* Determining the day for your rhinoplasty surgery

* Hospital selection

• Planning appointment before rhinoplasty surgery

* Meeting with the Anesthesiologist before surgery

* Examinations and tests that need to be performed before surgery

* Hospital transfer and admission procedures on the day of surgery

The preparations before the rhinoplasty surgery will be completed in this way.

After Rhinoplasty Surgery

Preparation Recommendations Before Aesthetic Surgery
We can examine the process after rhinoplasty surgery in two headings; Splint Removal and the process after Splint Removal…

The patient who has had a nose operation is invited to come for a check-up so that splints and tampons can be taken 1 week or 10 days after discharge.

The Process of Taking a Splint

The process of getting a splint is the process that patients are most afraid of. In fact, fears are groundless. Thanks to the elasticity of the silicone tampons we use during surgery and their folds suitable for the structure of the nose, the pain comes out without pain. The thermoplastic splint located on the nose, on the other hand, is easily taken through the nose without pain with its adhesive structure.

The patient who comes to have his splint removed should definitely not come hungry. Since you think about what you will look like after the splint comes out, you may experience low blood pressure due to excitement. A lot should be done to prevent this situation. The splint should not get wet after surgery. However, the patient who will come to have his splint removed can take a shower with warm water 1 day before he comes for the check-up or in the morning of the day he will come for the check-up. With warm water, the splint will get wet and it will come out much easier.

The Process After the Splint Is Taken

After the splint comes off, we do not need any bandages. However, some of our colleagues are doing bandages. In this case, the patient must comply with the instructions of his Doctor in Turkey.

The patient who has received the splint goes in front of the mirror after the adhesives and residues on the surface of the nose are cleaned. This is the most exciting part. The patient, who is aware of his swelling, knows that most of his swelling will go down in the 2-month period. However, a patient who is not aware of his swelling and thinks that he can get the final result immediately may fall into a void in the face of the swelling he sees when he looks in the mirror. This is where the psychological dimension of the process begins. The brain tends to be surprised by the face it sees in front of the mirror after nose surgery, in the face of the face it has seen so far. This is a normal process and can continue for up to 2-3 weeks. The patient’s relatives get used to this change process faster than the patient himself. This process is bypassed with the follow-up of our psychologist in our clinic and the support of the patient’s relatives.

The patient who has received the splint and tampons should know that they will have some swelling on the nose and skin after the splint comes out. Depending on the skin quality, lubrication, acne or redness may occur on the skin surface. This condition passes in a short time by using cleansing soaps and lotions suitable for the skin type.

Bumps and Bumps After Rhinoplasty Surgery

The delicate process that needs to be taken care of after the splint is taken is 2 months. For a healthy recovery process, a blow should definitely not be taken during this time period. It may be necessary to perform nose surgery again, especially for severe blows received. We recommend that our patients who have had nasal aesthetic surgery should pay attention even when cleaning the nose after the splint removal procedure and should not use even wipes harshly.

After rhinoplasty, there are distortions in the shape and form given during surgery in the bumps. What should be done when a blow is received on the nose? You should call your rhinoplasty doctor as soon as possible and explain the situation. According to the severity of the blow you have received, your doctor will give you the appropriate guidance and, if necessary, an examination.

Stay with love.
