GOLDEN RULES FOR A HEALTHY BRAIN

Learning, love and behavior management, such as very important tasks of our brain to work in order to pay attention to the rules listed.

Although our brain covers only 2 percent of our total body weight, it spends at least 20 percent of the nutrients we consume. It uses 25 percent of the oxygen we receive, and 25 percent of the blood flow in our body goes through the brain. It is the approximately 100 billion nerve cells it contains that enable such a small organ to function so decisively, and the connections they form between them. Therefore, if we do not pay attention to our brain health, this vital organ will not be able to function at full capacity and will lose an average of 85 thousand cells per day.

This means that your brain ages and loses function much faster than it needs to. Here Is A Neurologist Professor Dr. explaining 10 ways to protect brain health;

1- TAKE CARE

It can take much longer for us to realize that we are starting to gain weight when we look in the mirror, or we can see the wrinkles on our face with the eye and look for a solution immediately when it comes to our brain, than we can see the problem with the eye. At this point, it will be liberating to be always interested in our brain, or even to love and care about it in a sense.

2- STRENGTHEN THEIR STORAGE

Some people are devastated when they experience events such as dismissal, divorce, and others can continue their lives as if nothing has happened. When we think about the reason for this, the concept of brain reserves comes to us. Brain reserves are where our brain gets strength to deal with unexpected bad events that it faces. For this reason, the stronger our brain reserves, the stronger we can say that we are against the problems we face. These reserves can actually be affected by many different things, for example, if you fell out of bed at the age of 10 and hit your head, or if you were raised under constant stress under pressure from parents, your brain reserves decrease day by day. On the contrary, if you have not experienced any head injuries, your brain reserves will increase day by day if you were raised by caring and loving parents. Yet no matter how old you are, work your brain hard to bolster those reserves.

3- PROTECT

Concussions and even the slightest head trauma can ruin your life. For this reason, you should take every precaution in everyday life to protect your brain from bumps. For example, be sure to wear your seat belt…

4- DO NOT POISON

Avoid consuming harmful products that have a drug effect on the brain, such as cigarettes and alcohol. Various conditions, such as chemical cleaning products, chemical personal care products, excessive caffeine and excessive drug consumption, can also cause the accumulation of toxins in the brain.

5- SLEEP WELL

Insomnia can lead to memory problems, mood disorders and difficulty concentrating in everyday life. We can say that the most accurate and natural way of this problem is to determine the main cause. For example, if excessive amounts of caffeine that you take during the day leave you sleepless, the solution will be very easy when you detect it. In addition, taking support vitamins such as melatonin and magnesium instead of taking medications can also relieve your insomnia.

6- EAT HEALTHY

The fuel of our brains is the nutrients we get into our bodies. That’s why eating healthy is paired with a healthy brain. Creating a eating pattern rich in protein, low glycemic index foods, carbohydrates with high fiber content, vegetables, fruits and healthy fats, avoiding excess salt and sugar will be the right choice.

7- MOVE

Research shows that exercise, which regulates blood flow and constantly regenerates cells, improves mood, prevents anxiety attacks and strengthens memory reserves. One of the simplest and most effective exercises is brisk walking.

8- MAKE HIM DO GYMNASTICS

When it comes to our brain health, brain gymnastics is just as necessary and important as physical exercise. When you learn something new, new cells form in your brain. Dancing, solving puzzles, learning to play an instrument, or trying to learn a new language are effective and easy brain training methods.

9- LOOK AT LIFE POSITIVELY

In one study, participants underwent two separate brain tomographs. In the first, participants were told to think about what they liked and focus on it. In the second, they were asked to focus on what they hated, on the contrary. Patients who focused on positive, beautiful things did not see any problems when the results were received, while those who focused on negative things had problems in areas of the brain such as creativity, learning and dreaming.

10- STAY AWAY FROM STRESS

Scientific research shows that frequent stress leads to loss of function in the brain and permanent effect. Look to avoid stress as much as possible for your brain health.
