ABOUT ANKLE TREATMENT WITH PRP

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is an application that provides extremely successful results in the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases, repair of tissue, joint and cartilage novices. In addition to being extremely simple, the procedure is preferred because it does not carry the risks of surgical procedures, does not create negatives such as side effects, and is much more accessible than surgical operations due to its prices. The procedure is centrifuged for about 15 minutes with an 8-10 cc PRP tube of blood taken from the patient through a vein.

During the centrifuge, the red and unnecessary part of the blood collects under the PRP tube, while growth factors, cytokines are concentrated in the upper part of the tube. Through the injector, these platelets are taken and injected into the patient’s foot joint in the area of calcification, tendon damage, injury.

PRP treatment is not a procedure such as a painkiller, it is literally a treatment method. 15 Minutes after the procedure, the blood cells become active and begin to repair the damage to the foot joint. It will be after an average of 1 week that you will start to feel the effects of PRP gradually.

After 1 week, you feel that you are starting to heal, and its full effect will be after 1 month has passed. These periods are average periods of time and vary from person to person. Although the normal process works in this way, the level of arthritis in the person where the procedure is performed, the importance it gives to foot health, living in accordance with the doctor’s recommendation and the person’s age are the most important factors in the success of the treatment.
