WHAT IS PRP? WHAT DOES IT DO?

PRP is derived from the initials of the word “Platelet Rich Plasma” in English. It means platelet-rich plasma. PRP therapy is a treatment method that has been used in the treatment of various diseases that have been increasing over the past few years.
.

The name priapus is used for the penis, inspired by the Greek god of reproduction Priapus. For this reason, its meaning in urology is called Priapus Shot or P-Shot for short. PRP is used safely and effectively in the treatment of urology, dermatology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, and cosmetic industries. The reliability of PRP has been shown in many international sources.

.
PRP is generally widely used in the USA and Northern European countries in the field of urology for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and penis enlargement. In the penis, the purpose of PRP treatment is to activate our own clotting cells outside the body and give them back to the penis by enriching it.

PRP is widely used in the USA country for the problem of erectile dysfunction in the field of urology and for the purpose of penis enlargement. In other words, the main capillaries that function in the cavernous bodies that will provide hardening decrease, and hard fibrotic tissues take the place of smooth muscles. Thus, the hardening of the penis and its ability to maintain its rigidity deteriorate. Injection of PRP into the cavernous body, which causes hardening of the penis, allows the formation of new vessels (angiogenesis), tissue regeneration (regeneration) and rejuvenation, which will provide hardening.

PRP treatment for erectile dysfunction is performed every two days for a total of 3 sessions. 3 , 6 and 12. It increases the efficiency of treatment with one dose per month. The total procedure process in PRP treatment takes between 30 and 45 minutes. So 5 or 10 minutes before the injection, injection using locally effective local anesthetic, that is, narcotic creams prevents the patient from feeling pain. On the day of treatment, the patient can do his daily tasks normally and also have sexual intercourse. PRP therapy will start to take effect about a week after the start of treatment, and it may take 3 months for it to show maximum effect. The benefit seen from the treatment is permanent.

PRP treatment should be performed only after our patients taking blood thinners have stopped their medications for about five days, and patients with infections have also been treated with antibiotics. He should not take edema relievers and pain relievers, which we call anti-inflammatory, because it may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment for a day after treatment. In the field of urology, it has also been shown in scientific studies that plaque regions shrink and melt with the application of PRP to plaque areas on the tunica albugiena in Peyronie’s disease. For this reason, it is used effectively in peyronie’s disease. In addition, chronic cystitis, chronic prostatitis, and interstitial cystitis are also other areas where PRP therapy is used in urology.

As a result, PRP is the most effective and most permanent form of FDA-approved treatment method that has no side effects, since it is made from a person’s own blood.
