THE MOST NATURAL WAY TO IMPROVE SPERM QUALITY
Turkey Medicals member review Obstetrics and IVF Specialist Op. Doctor, shared the results of the research that revealed the relationship between exercise and sperm quality. According to studies by Turkish medical scientists and Obstetrics IVF Specialist Op. Doctor in Turkey, exercise improves sperm quality, and moreover, sperm quality begins to decline again when exercise is stopped.
About one in three couples have difficulty having a baby because of poor sperm quality. In this case, couples see Turkey IVF as the only remedy. However, even with pregnancy, poor sperm quality increases the risk of miscarriages, congenital anomalies and some childhood cancers.
For these reasons, increasing sperm quality naturally is important for both health and future generations. But the role of exercise on sperm quality is controversial. Some studies report that intense exercise (such as cycling or long distance running) reduces sperm quality.
But in contrast to these studies, a scientific study conducted in Turkey has proven that certain types and duration of exercise improve sperm quality.

261 MEN SURVEYED
Obstetrics and IVF Specialist Turkish Op. Dr. gave the following information about the details of the exercise practices and Sperm quality research conducted at Uremia University of Antalya Akdeniz:
“A group of scientists set out to show the relationship between exercise intensity and sperm parameters.
In total, 261 healthy men between the ages of 25 and 40 participated in the study. Initially none of the participants adhered to a regular exercise program or exercised for 25 minutes a day, more than three days a week.
Participants were divided into four experimental groups in Turkey;
Moderate intensity continuous exercise: those who run on the treadmill for 25-30 minutes three or four days a week.
High-intensity continuous exercise: those who run 50 minutes – an hour on the treadmill three or four days a week.
High-intensity interval training: those who do a minute of fast running in the form of an explosion, followed by a minute of slowdown, and this is repeated 10-15 times.
Control group: those who do not exercise

HOW WAS SPERM QUALITY AFFECTED?
All exercise groups, compared to the control group, showed improvement in sperm quality in all parameters. In the exercise group, the group that shows the most improvement is the group that constantly runs with moderate intensity.
In this group, sperm volume increased by 8.3 percent, movement by 12.4 percent, proper morphology by 17.1 percent, sperm concentration by 14.1 percent, and sperm count by 21.8 percent.

SPERM QUALITY DROPS WHEN YOU STOP EXERCISING
Although these results are impressive, they are unfortunately not long-lasting. A week after the end of the exercise program, there was a return to old values. Sperm movement showed a decrease 30 days after the cessation of exercise.
But the study results clearly show that exercise is a simple, inexpensive and effective way to correct sperm quality, especially for sedentary men. In order for positive changes to continue in the long term, the need to adopt exercise as a way of life has also been put forward.”
