TREATMENT OF KNEE CALCIFICATION (OSTEOARTHRITIS) WITH PRP

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is an application that provides extremely successful results in the treatment in Antalya hospitals of musculoskeletal diseases, repair of tissue and cartilage damage.

The 8-10 cc blood taken from you is centrifuged together with the PRP tube for 15 minutes.

During the centrifuge, the red and unnecessary part of the blood collapses to the bottom of the PRP tube, while growth factors, cytokines are concentrated in the upper part of the tube.

These platelets are taken through the injector and injected into the patient’s knee joint.

PRP treatment is not a procedure like pain relief. It becomes active 15 minutes after the procedure and starts to repair the damage to the knee.

We start to feel the effects of PRP gradually, you feel that you are starting to recover after an average of 1 week, and its full effect will be after 1 month has passed. Although the normal process works in this way, the level of arthritis in the person undergoing the procedure, the importance he attaches to knee health and his age are the most important factors in the success of the treatment.
