WHAT ARE HIP DIPS?

Turkey Medicals member and Istanbul hospital department Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery Specialist, Operator Doctor said, “The hip area is an important area for ideal female body measurements according to most people. A thin waist is complemented by a rounded hip. But for anatomical reasons, some women have gaps on the sides of the buttocks. Because of these cavities, called Hip Dips, complaints about the size, shape and proportion of the hip to other body areas occur.”

Depending on the innate body structure, some people have a depression around the hip and a body shape resembling a violin shape that develops with it. Thus, a situation occurs that damages the hip aesthetics. Although this condition, called Hip Dips, is congenital, it often causes complaints from an aesthetic point of view. It can be very uncomfortable, especially when wearing bikinis, swimsuits and even everyday clothes.

.
WHAT CAUSES HIP DIPS?

A dimple forms when the skin sticks to the bone more in the area just below the large bone called the iliac in the hip joint. This is the condition we call cupping Hip Dips. It is not a disease, but a structural problem. It develops due to the innate structure of the hip joint.

.
HOW ARE HIP DIPS TREATED?

Many methods are used to eliminate cupping in the hip area. The first thing that comes to mind is that the muscles in the relevant area are enlarged and filled with exercises and the muscle formed by reducing the surrounding fat is trying to camouflage. Although the results obtained are useful, they are not permanent. At this point, permanent results can also be achieved with the aesthetic surgery that comes into play. The formed dimple is solved by the method of fat injection, which is often used for body contouring procedures.

.
HIP DIPS SURGERY AND THE TECHNIQUES USED

We do the fat injection using the fat cells stored in the body. When filling the cupping in the hip area with an oil injection, we also usually use the oils below and above the area. If there is not enough fat in these areas, we can also prefer fat in areas such as waist, hips and abdomen. As a result, we get a more rounded, free from the pit appearance and with a smooth transition to the hip area. For the treatment of Hip Dips in, we usually perform a fat injection process in Turkey that takes about 2 hours with general anesthesia.

.
HOW IS THE HEALING PROCESS GOING ON?

Our patients can return home in the evening of the same day after their morning procedure. In some cases, it may be necessary to stay in the hospital for 1 night. In the initial period, it is necessary to rest for 4 to 5 days. During the first 1 month, it is necessary to wear a corset that will grasp the surgical site, ensure the proper placement of the injected fat cells, and stay away from sports. In advanced cases of Hip Dips, some more fat injections may be required due to extremely deep pits that occur.

Hip Dips can cause a lot of complaints from an aesthetic point of view. The solution of these complaints may be possible with aesthetic surgery. If you are also experiencing problems caused by Hip Dips and are looking for a solution, you can contact a Turkish plastic surgeon.
