BOOKS TEACH THE CHILDREN THE GOOD AND BAD?
Books that are included in children’s literature include good characters, as well as bad characters. Most of the stories are mostly about the mutual struggles of these opposite characters. So what do children who read books learn from good and bad characters? Do the actions of the bad characters harm children’s readers? The author of Children’s Literature explained.
Author of Children’s Literature, said: “It is very important to choose the right book to give children the habit of reading. The fact that good characters are included in the Turkish book, as well as bad characters, makes the story immersive. Often interesting and memorable points in stories are given over to bad characters. Therefore, the battle of good characters and bad characters saves the event from boredom, making it fun and exciting. This increases the child’s desire to read,” he said.

HE TEACHES GREAT LESSONS TO CHILDREN
Said, “Children’s books are a great tool for teaching children about life itself. Children’s readers learn a lot from the characters and their actions in the stories. Good character, honesty, courage, virtue, goodwill, benevolence, compassion, love, fighting against negativity while learning concepts such as the bad of the world thanks to some evil characters there is the danger of running people over, injustice, lying, eating right, disrespect and anti-learn to always lose in the end. In summary, children learn some lessons from what good and bad characters go through and experience,”he said.

HE SHOULD BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY WITH THE CHARACTERS
Said, “In books written for children, the characters created and the feelings felt should be examples that have a counterpart in real life. Because the child who sees the similarity of the characters around him in the book he is reading will be able to identify with the book more easily. There are no limits to the choice of characters created in the books. Anyone and everything can become the hero of the book. Therefore, all the good and bad characters created should have characteristics that will improve the self-confidence of the children reading the book, push them to identify with the hero. Because the reading efficiency of books may decrease for the child who cannot identify with the heroes in the book. Therefore, when teaching him the book that the child is reading, he should also experience emotions such as excitement and fun at the same time,”he commented.

“Turkish children learn positive emotions, many actions that are considered correct in the Turks society, honorable behavior that is mandatory to be a person, almost by living thanks to the plot in the book. If we want to teach our children that the world is a good place, that loving people brings benefits to one’s self, peace of mind that helps others, truth, morality, virtue, honesty, heroism, we can provide this by taking advantage of the right stories and giving them the habit of Turkish reading books.
