A total of 309 thousand liver transplants were performed this year, including 922 from living beings and 347 from cadavers. While transplants are mostly performed from cadavers worldwide, they are performed from live donors in our country. Raising public awareness and increasing organ donation will increase the hope of treating patients with liver failure,” he said.
