Gender in Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty ranks first among the most requested aesthetic surgical procedures among both women and men. Rhinoplasty is the most popular aesthetic surgical procedure in the world. Decongestant rhinoplasty is the most popular cosmetic surgery procedure. The importance of rhinoplasty both functionally and aesthetically is quite high. Therefore, it is very easy to understand why it is popular. There is no difference between men and women in the techniques applied in rhinoplasty. The only difference between them is in the nose design.

The face shape of a man and a woman is different

There are some gender-specific characteristic features on the faces of men and women. Both sexes have the same facial features, but these features do not look the same for both sexes. A person’s appearance has a characteristic feature, including skeletal anatomy and their own ethnic origin. Men and women have different skeletal and facial anatomy, so their characteristics are different. Taking these differences into account, creating a person’s appearance constitutes the most important stage of plastic surgery. The male nose is usually larger and slightly forward of the face. A woman’s nose, on the other hand, is usually smaller and more harmonious. The male nose has larger and wider nostrils than the female nose. The tip of the nose also has various shapes in both women and men. A similar situation applies to the nasal bridge.

Rhinoplasty is planned according to gender

What makes a nose feminine or masculine depends on what the other characteristics of the patient’s ring are. If a man has a strong chin and eyebrows but a very small nose, a larger nose shape can be designed. In the opposite case, that is, if your nose is large enough to be incompatible with other elements of the face, nose reduction aesthetics can be performed this time. The same proportion applies to the faces and noses of female patients. With 3D design devices, the patient can see what the new nose shape will be like through their own images before the surgery. Together with his surgeon, he is able to decide on the most ideal nose shape.

Characteristics of male and female nose surgery

Technically, there is no difference between the surgery performed on men and women in rhinoplasty. Existing problems in the nose can be done with closed or open technique according to the surgeon’s preference. If necessary, a graft or cartilage tissue can be transplanted from another part of the body. Filling or fat transfer can be performed to get a softer and more natural appearance on the nose. The tip of the nose can be reshaped using an implant or by refining the existing cartilage. The nose can be expanded or shrunk by changing the width of the nasal floor. The nose of the male patient can be raised slightly higher and angled close to 90 degrees. All of these techniques can be applied in cases where it is necessary for both women and men.

Stay with love.
