HOW SHOULD DIABETICS BE FED, NUTRITION IN DIABETES FOR BEST HEALTH

As well as genetic factors, improper diet, overweight and sedentary life are also effective in the occurrence of diabetes. Therefore, experts say that a healthy diet and movement significantly reduce the risk of diabetes. So, how should diabetics be fed, what should they not eat? Here is nutrition in diabetes.

Foods that diabetics should restrict

Consumption of honey, jam, marmalade should be limited, dry or fresh fruit should be preferred instead of them.

Butter, margarine and trans fats should not be consumed. Vegetable oils should be preferred instead. Our recommendation is olive oil.

Meat should not be consumed every day, fish rich in omega-3 should be consumed 2-3 days a week.

Grill or oven cooking should be preferred instead of frying type cooking.

Nuts such as hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds should be preferred instead of fast food products such as chips.

Recommended foods for diabetics

– Onions, artichokes, spinach

– Blueberries

– Lemon or vinegar can be added to salads, it increases the satiety period and prevents blood sugar from rising.

– Whole grain products

– Dried legumes

– Cinnamon.

What to do in case of sweet crises?

By sprinkling cinnamon on the apple slices, the need for dessert can be met with such healthy foods in Turkey and sudden changes in blood sugar can be prevented.
