WHY NOT TO UNDERESTIMATE A BABY MILK TOOTH?

DO NOT SAY IT IS ONLY A BABY ‘ MILK TOOTH ‘

Turkey Medicals member and Dentist in Antalya, who said that milk teeth are the guide to permanent teeth said, “these teeth should be well looked after for the health of permanent teeth and to come out in the right position.”

Decay of baby teeth is often ignored because new ones will come out anyway. However, if baby teeth, which are ”Guide teeth” fall early, new teeth can come out timeless and trapezoidal. Our Turkish dentist, who stated that baby teeth should be considered as permanent teeth, gave the following information to families about this issue.

.
HERE ARE THE TASKS IN THE BABY MOUTH

Baby teeth, which start to last on average 4-6 months after birth, complete their duration around 2.5 years. 4 tasks of milk teeth in the mouth can be listed as follows…

Ensure that the child has a proper and balanced diet.

Positively influence the development of speech.

Protect the permanent tooth that will come from under it and guide this tooth to last.

To contribute to the development of the chin facial skeleton.

.
WHEN SHOULD DENTAL CARE IN TURKEY BE STARTED?

From the moment the first teeth start to rub, the parent should clean the baby’s teeth after meals with a clean towel, cheesecloth or gauze. As of 18-24 months, teeth should again be brushed with a soft toothbrush under parental control. The use of toothpaste should start from the age of 3.

.
WHAT SHOULD PARENTS LOOK OUT FOR?

The first and most important task in protecting and caring for baby teeth falls to the parents. If food is to be given to the baby by bottle in the first months of life, ingredients such as honey, sugar, biscuits should not be placed in the food.

If the use of a pacifier is available, the same rules apply to a pacifier. The pacifier should not be dipped in a sugary food.

Dental care should be done under parental control until about 7 years of age.

The child should be kept away from sugary foods and junk food as much as possible.

.
IT NEEDS TO LOOK GOOD

It is very important that baby teeth remain healthy in the mouth until their fall time comes.

.
WHAT SHOULD BE DONE IF IT TURNS CROOKED?

A trapezoid appearance of the baby tooth usually does not require any intervention. If the trapezoid persists when all of the baby teeth are shed and replaced by permanent teeth, then it should be examined whether orthodontic intervention is necessary.

.
BECAUSE IT’S A ROTTEN TOOTH

It creates a source of infection in the body.

It disrupts the structure of permanent teeth that will come from below.

It negatively affects the aesthetics and indirectly the psychology of the child.

An early loss occurs in the baby tooth, and if a placeholder is not made in its place, it will lose the New Dental guide that will come from the bottom, and so it can drive from the wrong place. This condition causes distortions in the teeth in the future and the need for orthodontic treatment in Turkey  arises.

.
HOW DOES IT AFFECT NEW BABY TEETH?

Premature removal of the baby tooth, leaving it in the mouth as a caries, prevents both the health of the permanent tooth that will come from the bottom and its appearance in the right position. This, in turn, leads to larger problems over time.

Finally, children should be taken to the dentist in Turkey, from the age of 1 and checked regularly.
