Liplift (Lip Lift)

The upper lip lengthens and flattens as we age. Elongation of the lip distance is one of the most classic signs of facial decrepitude, but it often does not attract your attention among other signs of aging, especially if you do not look there. With the shortening of the lip, the pink area (vermillion) where you apply lipstick turns inward and there is almost no place to put lipstick on the lip. Patients apply lipstick by moving it slightly to the skin in order to manage this condition.

The name of the procedure by which we surgically shorten the lip that grows during the aging process is “LipLift”, that is, lip lifting in Turkish. In LipLift surgery, a horn-shaped tissue is removed from the junction of the nose and lip. Then the two ends of the skin are sewn together. The surgical scar is located right in the declivity between the nose and the upper lip.

It takes 1 year to get this permission from wherever you look. Wound healing and the disappearance of scars occur much faster in elderly patients where the skin is loose. From the second week after surgery, it is possible to return to social life by camouflaging the scars with a single layer of foundation. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and takes approximately 30 minutes.

The most important benefit of the surgery is the shortening and outward rotation of the upper lip. After the lip lift procedure, the pink part of the lip that can be applied lipstick (vermillion) rises up and turns out. A more feminine and younger appearance is emerging.

Patients who really need this procedure worry about the length of the upper lip so much that they don’t worry about the scar left behind. LipLift, especially when combined with bulking procedures such as fat tissue transfer and surface renewal procedures such as dermabrasion/peeling, the total effect can be maximized.

Stay with love.
