Innovations in Facial Aesthetics

As technology develops, both we plastic surgeons and you, our patients, prefer less complicated methods to look young. However, hanging with a rope is not an alternative to the surgical face lift procedure. Rope hanging is mostly preferred for those who do not have as much time as the surgery process, have disabilities to undergo surgery, cannot get away from work life, are uncomfortable with certain areas of the face and have sagging faces at a young age. Sometimes it can be combined with focused ultrasound and collagen vaccine.

We can summarize some of the rope hanging methods in a few headings;

Spider web

PDO threads, which are used in many areas of surgery, are also used for this method. According to the request of the patient together with the physician, an average of 50-60 ropes are placed on the facial line in the form of a fan. Slight bruising and edema may be seen after the procedure. Local anesthesia is used. It is necessary to avoid rubbing the face for about 3 weeks. The effect lasts about 1-2 years on average.

French hangar

It is a hanging method made with silicone coated and stretchable ropes developed in France. The French Sling, a safe hanging technique applied to regulate facial sagging and restore the facial line, can be performed with local anesthesia, as well as combined with other operations performed under general anesthesia. Suitable for the whole face. Up to 2 to 12 ropes can be used according to the person’s need. The ropes pass through the face and are fixed to the scalp. There is no need for any stitches. The flexible structure of the rope allows it to move with the gestures, and the silicone structure prevents breakages. Thus, facial asymmetry does not occur after the procedure. The procedure time for the whole face is about 45 minutes. A few days after the procedure, you can comfortably resume normal life. It has an average durability of 4 years.

V lift

It is one of the non-surgical hanging methods and PDO threads are placed under the skin with thin cannulas. within 6-8 months, these strands dissolve and increase collagen in the area where they are placed, and the skin looks more tense. It is performed under local anesthesia and has a permanence of 18-24 months.

Although the methods are usually similar to each other, the regions of use and the content of the materials used may vary. You can contact your doctor to determine the most appropriate method for you.
