MOTHERS, THIS ARTICLE IS SPECIAL TO YOU! DO NOT FORGET ABOUT YOUR OWN CARE WHEN TAKING CARE OF YOUR BABY AFTER CHILDBIRTH

Turkey Medicals, “What kind of precautions should you take for your health and skin after childbirth, which treatments should you prefer in which month, we have written them all for you…”

First of all, I would like to point out that healthy pregnancy is a very enjoyable process, although it has its own difficulties. In the first 3 months of pregnancy, beta hCG and all other hormones in the mother’s blood rise rapidly, and therefore nausea-vomiting, tendency to sleep and weakness prevail in the mother. Your pregnancy is 3-6. the most beautiful, the most enjoyable period, during this period, when the communication of families with the mother begins to increase, the “interest in the mother increases” and the mother feels the most comfortable. The last 3 months are the period when the excitement of getting her baby increases, but at the same time, depending on the person, the mother begins to get heavier, her comfort decreases, heartburn, movement restrictions (bending-straightening), body edema increases, she is prone to varicose veins, and cracks may form on the skin.

And the expected moment has arrived; our baby has been born. Now the mother will love her baby outside, not inside, she will feed and protect him at any time. The whole family will support the mother to feed her baby better, but of course the real interest is in the baby. Of course, that’s the way it should be.

But what are the needs of the mother? How is maternal health affected in which months? What should be done? If you wish, let’s take the subject in the between of certain months, just like during pregnancy.

1- The first 3 Months After Birth:

It is very impossible to express in words the first moment when a mother holds her baby in her arms. It is my greatest wish that the expectant mothers who read these lines will also taste these feelings. Because thanks to these feelings, the mother automatically begins the process of healing, repairing herself and feeding her baby. The first breast milk called ‘Colostrum’, which is formed within hours after birth, is quite dense and is enough to feed the baby, so the mother can sleep comfortably after childbirth. But in the following days, the consistency of the milk thins, the amount increases, and the nutritional content of the milk is quite sufficient for the baby’s months. Mothers need to learn all this information very well, because breastfeeding their baby too much, keeping it in the breast can lead to problems such as breast tenderness, inflammatory nipple disease, which we call ‘mastitis’. In addition, feeding too often (almost like a decoy task) can cause insomnia in the mother, hence intolerance and unhappiness, triggering a condition popularly called “postpartum depression”.

My advice to mothers in the first 3-4 months is that they should aim to provide “baby’s sleep education” by feeding their children with breast milk or formula if there is not the right frequency and quantity. The baby who gets his sleep will quickly heal the mother by ensuring that the mother also sleeps. The mother will also have the opportunity to take care of herself, she will be able to take care of herself personally.

• She should take a regular shower to relieve circulation
• Should consume plenty of water
• A balanced diet should be
• She should gradually start walking with or without her baby.

2- The 4 to 6 Months After Birth:

Menstruation may begin in the mother. There may also be physiological hair loss at the same time. Until this period, those who have undergone a healthy process, our mothers who are properly fed and adapted to their baby will have started to get rid of excess weight. But during this period, when the content of breast milk changes and menstruation begins, in summary, the hormones in the mother begin to normalize, the rapid weight loss process may stop. It may be appropriate for mothers during this period to receive medical support.
They will need to read the hormonal changes in their skin well themselves, but my personal recommendation is to seek the advice of a dermatologist in the following cases.

– Those who have birthmarks on their face, mothers who later get acne on their face, or those who have stretch marks on their bodies, those whose hair falls out a lot should have a blood test and take food supplements under the supervision of a doctor

3- The Period After the 6 Months After Birth:

To tell the process after the 6. month, it is necessary to check whether the mother continues to give milk. The fact that the mother is able to produce milk gives information about her hormones, whether she is menstruating or not. With the end of breastfeeding, the mother and the baby should have a sleep pattern. Of course, a 6-month-old baby who does not take breast milk may also wake up two or 3 times a night. In this regard, mothers can also learn from their pediatricians how to feed their babies with formula. “Let him sleep and let him grow up, lullaby” there is great wisdom in these words. Sleep makes the baby grow, lengthens its height, regulates the most important metabolic hormone we call ’insulin”. As adults, the positive effect of sleep renews us. During sleep, fats are burned, muscles become stronger, toxins are prepared for excretion, so edema is resolved. As a result, from these months on, even thanks to good sleep, body edema decreases, metabolism revives, so the skin is repaired and becomes beautiful.

“Mothers who have finished breastfeeding can return to their care with or without needles of any kind” In fact, all these operations with needles are local, that is, regional affairs. There is no possibility of mixing with breast milk. However, if any allergic reaction develops during these procedures, it will be necessary to give treatment to the mother. In this case, the drugs given in this case can be passed from mother to baby by mixing with breast milk. For this reason, I do not think it is appropriate to do it before the milk delivery period ends. So I started botox for myself at the age of 32, especially for wrinkles around my eyes and crow’s feet. I started applying filler, that is, hyaluronic acid applications, to the gaps that formed on my face after losing my second postpartum weight. Thanks to this, I have observed a refreshment and revitalization by replacing the deficiency in my skin.

However, most of the applications that I will mention are applications without injecting any substance; repairing the skin is the applications that will allow it to be restored and revitalized.

For the skin that is loosened and tired by the effect of weight gain and loss, gold micro needle can do radio frequency, oxgeneo, IPL. Each of these methods is also suitable for mothers who give milk at the same time. These are methods in which a substance is not injected into a person’s skin from the outside through a needle. The common denominator of all of them triggers the stimulation of the skin, allowing it to be repaired as if there is a wound and it is being repaired. While a deep cleaning is provided with Oxgeneo, roughness on the skin is removed thanks to the pressure cream spraying system and the skin is brightened. IPL, on the other hand, is an intense pulsed light therapy and a method also known as soft laser. With this method, the spots on the top layer of the skin are removed and the skin is aimed to be brighter and spotless.

– For cracks, gold needle radiofrequency and IPL can be performed again. In addition, to continue using crack removal products and stretch the skin of that area, sports, ironing effective needle-free radiofrequency and infrared treatments can be performed.

– Methods with laser lipolysis and infrared-radiofrequency combination may be preferred for their regional excess, which they cannot get rid of despite losing weight. Of course, the place of proper nutrition and sports is indisputable.

– It is enough to get support from food supplements for hair loss, get a good sleep and a balanced diet. However, in cases of spills that exceed physiological limits, PRP treatment can be started by taking the opinion of a dermatology specialist. PRP treatment is a method in which the plasma part of a person’s own blood is given back to him by micro-needling technique. There is no problem with its application because no foreign substance is given. Those who give milk may also prefer.

– PRP can be performed in the same way for detention bruises caused by insomnia. Mothers who have finished breastfeeding can start their injections in the form of vitamin mesotherapy or they can benefit from illuminating hyaluronic acid injections. After the end of breastfeeding, as I mentioned earlier, botox, filling and mesotherapy methods can be started. Laser treatments for hair removal or rejuvenation can be safely performed by our mothers in both periods.

I wish you happy and healthy days with your baby, remember, everything will be better if you feel well.
