DON’T SAY IF YOUR JAW HAS AESTHETICS

A face that looks beautiful when smiling, and teeth are an indispensable part of the external appearance that everyone wants to have. If your innate characteristics do not meet this wish, aesthetic and plastic surgery in Antalya Turkey offers you special solutions.

Turkey Medicals member and International Hospital Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialist Operator Doctor talked about jaw aesthetics from A to Z…

.
AESTHETICS IS VERY IMPORTANT IN APPEARANCE

Both jaws have a very important place in the appearance of a beautiful smile, a proper bite, healthy chewing functions and facial area. The lower jaw called the mandible and the upper jaw called the Maxilla together play a serious role in the aesthetic appearance of the teeth. Those who have complaints from both an aesthetic and functional point of view often seek treatment for jaw aesthetics and orthognathic surgery. One of the most common surgeries performed in maxillofacial aesthetics is ‘maxillofacial aesthetics’. Various aesthetic interventions can be performed on patients whose lower jaw tip is underdeveloped or is further or further away than the middle part of the face. In these methods, most of which are performed through the mouth, the patient’s jaw tip is taken forward or backward. Sometimes jaw tip prostheses are also used to make the lower jaw tip more prominent.

.
JAW AESTHETICS IS NOT ONLY DONE WITH EXTERNAL APPEARANCE CONCERNS

In addition to aesthetic concerns about both jaws, people with other complaints are also not few. Complaints that we hear extensively:

– My lower jaw and upper jaw teeth do not touch each other.

– I can’t chew enough food while eating.

– One side of my lower jaw has shifted to the other side.

– My jaw was broken when I was little. The fracture has not been treated. My lower jaw is crooked and boiled.

– My upper jaw is very flattened and stands back.

– I have had many surgeries due to rabbit lip. My upper jaw and lip are not developed.

– As a result of a car accident, my jaw bones were broken and the curve boiled.

– My child’s jaws look smaller than usual. He’s having trouble breathing.

.
SOLUTION: ORTHOGNATHIC SURGERY

Deformities of both jaws affect natural functions such as breathing, chewing, eating, as well as aesthetic appearance. In these problems, ‘Orthognathic surgery’ solutions are extremely successful surgeries. In these surgeries;

– Forward/backward removal of the lower jaw.

– Forward/backward removal of the upper jaw.

– Turning both jaws to the right/left.

– Moving both jaws up/down relative to each other.

– Combined operations on both jaws.

– ‘Distraction’ method applications can be performed on both jaws to ensure new bone formation.

Jaw development is expected to be completed for these surgeries, which can be performed after the average age of 17-18. In women, it can be done 1-2 years earlier, as the development has already been completed. In patients with breathing problems, surgeries can also be performed at an earlier age. In addition to the Plastic Surgery specialist, the planned operations together with the Turkish Dentist and Orthodontist are performed by a plastic surgery specialist who has received sufficient training. Both before and after surgery, the patient may need to be treated with braces. The technique of the operation and the amount of playing bones are decided by measuring them with various special graphs. Under general anesthesia and after about 2-3 hours of surgery, the patient gets the desired smooth and aesthetic jaw shape. By means of special tires attached to special wires located on the teeth, it is ensured that both jaws are closed for up to 6-8 weeks. During this period, attention should be paid to the patient’s nutrition so that he does not lose weight, and special feeding drinks should be used. Maxillofacial aesthetics and orthognathic surgery methods, the results of which are extremely laughable, should be performed by Turkish plastic surgery specialists who have received sufficient training.
