What Are the Individual Measures That Can Be Taken to Protect Against the Coronavirus (Covid-19)?

Now take the form of a global epidemic coronavirus disease, first appeared in December 2019. This disease, which was first detected in the Chinese city of Wuhan, is claimed to have spread from a seafood Sunday where live animals and exotic meats are sold. It seems that a new type of coronavirus, which is thought to be transmitted from an animal, has acquired the ability to spread from person to person by undergoing a mutation. Due to its very rapid spread and easy transmission, it has affected the whole world in a short time.

Coronavirus infection has a mild cold effect in some people, while in some cases it causes very serious, life-threatening complications. It is observed that COVID-19 is especially severe in the elderly over the age of 65, those with chronic diseases and people with a low immune system.

Every country against the coronavirus is trying to protect its citizens against this epidemic and keep its health system afloat by taking serious measures within its borders. Many countries have closed their borders and put up barriers to international travel. In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, measures such as a curfew, a ban on intercity travel are being taken. The measures taken by the governments, as well as the personal measures to be taken, will prevent the spread of this disease.

The most important and simple way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to isolate those who carry the virus. There is an incubation period of fourteen days after the virus enters the body. During this time, he will show signs of illness. But it seems that some patients can carry this virus even without symptoms. For this reason, it is very important to isolate high-risk groups for their protection.

Coronavirus is a mild and asymptomatic disease that can be treated at home in most people. If you think you have been exposed to this disease and are carrying its symptoms, you should first isolate yourself and cut off contact with other people to prevent its spread.

COVID-19 symptoms; high fever (above 37.8 ° C), dry cough, joint pains and headaches, weakness-resentment, sore throat, loss of sense of taste and smell, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties can be counted as …. In the first days of the disease, it can sometimes be traced to a runny nose and sneezing. If you have been exposed to the coronavirus, the symptoms will manifest themselves within two to seven days. The course of the disease depends on your immune system.

As soon as symptoms appear in you, you should isolate yourself and inform the people you have recently come into contact with about this situation. If you are suffering from mild coronavirus disease, you do not need medical attention. But if you are unable to cope with the symptoms, think that your condition is getting worse, and you are experiencing respiratory distress, seek medical attention immediately. By going to the hospital; Considering that you may transmit the virus to others on the way and in the hospital, you should first call Hello 184 by phone and ask for emergency help. In any case, if you need to go to the hospital, you should wear a mask and maintain social distance. You should not forget that this disease, which you can have mild and standing, is life-threatening for some people.

If you are having the disease at home, you should take plenty of fluids and take care to consume fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C, as if you are coping with a flu or cold. Also get plenty of rest and get enough sleep.

A drug or vaccine has not yet been developed against coronavirus disease. The treatments performed are only for relieving and alleviating the symptoms. 80% of patients have this disease like a common cold. Only the remaining 20% need treatment under hospital conditions.

If you have not received medical attention, you can use medications such as paracetamol to relieve your fever and pain. You should avoid using them, especially since anti-inflammatory drugs are thought to aggravate the infection. You can try herbal teas with lozenges and lemon to relieve your sore throat.

Considering that hospitals are experiencing over-capacity occupancy with more severe COVID-19 cases, it is important that you postpone your other non-urgent treatments and surgeries during this epidemic. By postponing the aesthetic operations you want to have until after the outbreak, you can isolate yourself from the virus by not leaving your sheltered home. There is no doubt that you can get a more successful result from aesthetic operations that you will perform in a stress-free environment and time. By staying away from the hospital environment with plastic surgeries that you will postpone, you can also reduce your risk of exposure to the virus.

Finally, I would like to add that we will get through this pandemic process together in solidarity and we will have good days in a short time.
