WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT HYMENOPLASTY

Turkey Medicals member and hospital department head of Women’s Health & Obstetrics, Aesthetic Gynecology Specialist Operator Turkish Doctor said in addition to sexual intercourse, the hymen can be lost in some accidents and situations that require vaginal surgery. Some women, on the other hand, may not have a congenital hymen structure. “Hymen” is the name of the god of marriage in Greek mythology. For this reason, Hymen repair surgery is also called “Hymenoplasty”. Although the hymen has no known anatomical and physiological functions, it is thought to have protective functions against genital infections.

.
REPAIR OF THE HYMEN CAN BE CARRIED OUT IN A SHORT TIME

The hymen is the integrity of the tissue within 1-3 cm of the vagina. During sexual intercourse, this integrity may rupture and bleeding may occur, but in some cases, bleeding may not occur. In this case, the tissue is separated from the bleeding.

Before the hymen repair is performed, patients are told about the hygiene rules that they should pay attention to during the healing process. After the end of the examination of the hymen, a general gynecological examination of the patient is performed. If the patient feels that he is ready after the examination, hymen repair can be performed. The hymen is the one that is sutured under local or general anesthesia. The choice of this Anesthesia may vary depending on the patient’s condition or desire. The intervention takes an average of 15 to 30 minutes.

The hymen can be sewn temporarily or permanently. Temporary methods are procedures that are applied on average between 1 and 7 days from the date of the relationship. Permanent hymen repair does not require any time, as long as attention is paid to it like a virgin lady after the healing process is completed, whenever there is a draw, then there will be bleeding. Temporary hymen repair in the operation, small stitches are placed on the membrane and these stitches disappear on their own within a certain period of time. In this case, there will be bleeding during the first sexual intercourse. If temporary hymen repair is preferred, the person should live together within the specified time, otherwise the process will lose its validity if the process is exceeded.

If you are looking for a long-term solution, not a short-term one, for permanent hymen repair, the flap method is the method you are looking for. The flap method is a long-term effective solution for reconstructing the hymen with a piece of tissue using microsurgical research, but success is achieved when my principle is performed by an experienced and qualified doctor in Turkey in this regard.

.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY REPAIR?

– Permanent hymen repair is performed at least 20 days – 4 weeks before intercourse. If it is on the temporary hymen, it should be done on the same day as intercourse or 4-5 days before.

– Temporary hymen planting is easier compared to permanent hymen repair.

– Permanent hymen repair procedures can take 25-30 minutes

– If the procedures are performed using a laser, both the healing process will be more comfortable and faster, and a recovery closer to the original will be achieved.
