WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF LABIAPLASTY OPERATION? HOW IS IT APPLIED?

Labioplasty, also known as vaginal rejuvenation, is aesthetically aimed at transforming the genital area into an ideal structure. So, how is labioplasty performed, what are the benefits? Turkey Medicals member and JCI Antalya hospital Obstetrician-Gynecologist Op. Doctor told us what you need to know about the labioplasty operation in Turkey.

Labiaplasty vaginal rejuvenation, is a cosmetic surgery procedure in Antalya JCI hospital that involves the replacement of the labia minora (inner lips) and/or the labia majora (outer lips). There are several criteria such as the length of the inner and outer lips, the rate of appearance of the clitoris, symmetry. Labioplasty can be performed if the patient’s labia are too long.

If some clothing causes problems such as difficulty moving or irritation, it should also be applied from a medical point of view. But most often it is applied for aesthetic purposes. It is usually a suitable operation for everyone who is in good general health. Labioplasty is one of the genital aesthetic operations with high patient satisfaction that provide effective results in improving the appearance and sexual satisfaction.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF LABIAPLASTY?

Large labiums cause various troubles, both from a physical and psychological point of view. There are many women who note that appearance of large inner lips negatively affects their self-confidence. The benefits of the labioplasty operation include:

The problem of the vagina being visible from the outside can be eliminated. It does not protrude in tight clothes. It does not cause sweating. Eliminates the problem of fungal infection. No bad smell occurs. After sexual intercourse is inevitable, the sexual life of couples returns to normal. There is no pain and burning during sexual intercourse. The problem of not being able to wear swimsuits, bikinis disappears. There is no discomfort when sitting for a long time.

.
HOW IS LABIOPLASTY PERFORMED?

Comfortable removed and dressed clothes, regular sleep a few days before the procedure, a healthy diet and drinking plenty of water contribute greatly to the success of the operation.

There are two main types of procedures for the inner lips; edge resection and wedge resection. Both are usually performed under anesthesia. Edge resection involves correcting the “excess” protruding edges of the labia. Wedge resection decapitates wedge-shaped strips of skin from the center of the labia minor, preserving the original lip edges and stitching the remaining skin together with fusible seams.

Labia majora procedures are generally handled in two ways:

– Cutting tissue on labia that are longer or fuller than desired, or using liposuction

– Injecting oil or other fillers to plump up labia that are not as plump as desired

.
HOW IS THE HEALING PROCESS?

It is usually an outpatient procedure, which means that you can go home on the same day. For about 1 week, the labia can be quite painful and swollen. Antibiotics can be prescribed to reduce the risk of infection and anti-inflammatory drugs to reduce pain.
.

Turkey Medicals, “After the procedure, it may be necessary to refrain from wearing tight clothing, exercise and strenuous activities, sexual intercourse for up to 6 weeks. It may take 6 months for the shape to fully appear after the operation.”
