29 PER CENT ANNUAL RISE IN HOUSE PRICES
The CBRT has announced its May 2021 Turkish house price index. Accordingly, house prices increased 3.9 percent in May of this year compared to the previous month and 29.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
According to data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), the house price index (KFE) increased by 3.9 percent in May 2021 compared to the previous month and 29.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
KFE registered 32 percent in April, breaking a record.

HIGHEST PROPERTY INCREASE IN IZMIR
According to the data announced by the CBRT, the fastest annual increase occurred in Izmir. Izmir was followed by Istanbul and Ankara.
In May, the annual increase in house prices in Izmir was recorded as 29.7 percent, while the increase in Istanbul was recorded as 27 percent and the increase in Ankara was recorded as 26.4 percent.
The unit price per square meter of housing in Istanbul was 6,677 TL, while in Ankara it was 3,292 TL and in Izmir it was 5,308 TL.

NEW HOME IN TURKEY PRICES UP 32 PER CENT
According to the data, in May, the price index of new Turkish homes increased by 32.3 percent year-on-year, while new house prices in Istanbul real estate rose by 25.5 percent, in Ankara by 35.2 percent, and in Izmir by 25.8 percent.
The rise in non-new house prices in Turkey was 28 per cent.
