President of the Association of Industrialists and Businessmen of Dental materials in Istanbul, Turkey (DIŞSIAD), noted that there is a strong interest in Turkey for dental treatment, especially from Arab countries.
“A tourist who goes to Germany from anywhere in the world for implant treatment spends a minimum of around 10 thousand euros, while tourists who come to our country pay a price such as 3-4 thousand euros for this service in Turkey. In addition, he also takes advantage of the natural beauty of our country and returns to his country.”he made his assessment.
Turkey’s only, one of the 3 largest fairs in the region, IDEX Istanbul fair, especially implant treatment technologies that interest is great indicated, continued his words:
“For medical dental tourism in Turkey, especially hair and teeth interest is great. Last year, 100 thousand tourists came to our country only for teeth, leaving about 50 million dollars in foreign currency. This year, we aim to increase this figure by 20 percent with the contribution of IDEX Istanbul fair. Because our IDEX Istanbul fair is the only fair of the sector in Turkey, it is the meeting point of domestic and foreign sector professionals. This year, we are hosting a large number of dentists from Balkan countries, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Turkic Republics, Azerbaijan and Iran.
As a sector, our biggest goal is to attract European tourists to our country, especially in dental treatment. That’s where our fair comes to our rescue. This year, we are hosting oral and dental health professionals from 75 countries, including European countries. We move on knowing that you appreciate it. Here we tell our foreign visitors the advantages of dental treatment in our country down to the smallest detail. As a sector, we also have serious participation in Fairs held in Europe. Hopefully we’ll get that back soon. We will become the most preferred country of European tourists in dental treatment.”
