TEMPORARY PROSTHESIS FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT TO REMAIN TOOTHLESS DURING THE IMPLANT TREATMENT PERIOD

The fear of being toothless for a while in Turkish implant treatment causes patients to avoid treatment. In this case, temporary prostheses are coming to the rescue

The issue that patients who have had all their teeth or most of their teeth removed most often wonder about before starting treatment and are most hesitant to start treatment is whether a temporary prosthesis can be made to replace missing teeth removed after implant tooth surgery in Turkey. It is also the dec of us physicians not to walk our patients without teeth during a treatment process that may take between one month and six months. Toothless walking affects the social life of patients as well as affects their general health and phonation. Patients who undergo the treatment process without teeth move away from their social relationships and withdraw into themselves. This can lead to a deterioration in their morale and depression. The task of us physicians is to complete the treatment process without losing anything from the comfort of the patients during this period. Patients who have speech problems do not go out into society, and their nutrition is also a problem.

.
IT CAN CAUSE TISSUE LOSS

This fear, especially in the pre-aesthetic areas that affect the patient’s aesthetics, causes many patients to delay their treatment. This, in turn, leads to an increase in tissue loss and the problem located in the area. The shooting areas of the patients who will have a prosthesis can be closed with a temporary prosthesis after the end of bleeding.

This allows our patient to relax aesthetically until the day when the permanent prosthesis will be installed. This temporary prosthesis gives both the patient and the doctor an idea of the permanent prosthesis to be made. It is important that temporary coatings are used in accordance with the recommendations of the Turkish physician, and that oral and dental care is performed regularly.

Forcing temporary dentures with toothpicks or trying to get in between them with dental floss will cause your coating to disl decate. During the use of temporary prostheses, it is necessary to avoid hard and sticky foods. Because the material from which temporary coatings are made is generally based on acrylic (plastic), it is not very durable, and hard foods can lead to the breakage of your temporary prosthesis. It is important that your dental treatment is not disrupted after the installation of temporary dentures. If the coating is used for a long time or not following the recommendations of your Turkish doctor, or if it loosens but does not stick, it may come out, break, or swallow, and your doctor in Turkey is not responsible for this situation. Brushing and cleaning implants as well as your own teeth is as important as your own teeth in the process that will take until permanent teeth are made. What you should not forget is that oral care is done regularly.

ALL ON FOUR IMPLANT TECHNIQUES: DENTAL PROSTHESIS ON THE SAME DAY AS THE IMPLANT

Dental implants are the most effective solution for patients who have difficulties due to lost teeth. Dental implants give an image like your own natural teeth and perform their functions in this way.

All On Four technique is a technique that allows you to fix a dental prosthesis on the same day on four dental implants placed at certain angles in completely toothless patients.

Patients who are scheduled for All On Four treatment should first undergo a clinical and radiological examination. Measurements are made on computed tomography (CT) and an appropriate planning is made for the patient. This treatment consists of two stages as surgical and dental prosthetic procedures. After four dental implants are placed in the patient as planned on the day of treatment, on the same day, the temporary dental prosthesis is fixed on the dental implants.

After three months, the patient is given permanent dental prostheses.

.
WHO CAN ALL ON FOUR TREATMENTS BE APPLIED TO?

This treatment can be applied to all patients with complete toothlessness (no teeth at all) who do not have any systemic diseases that will be an obstacle to dental implant surgery and who have sufficient bone volume. After the procedure, the temporary dental prosthesis fixed on the dental implants can be used immediately. But during the three-month period, which is the process of fusion of bone with dental implants, patients should be fed a recommended diet. After this process is completed, the normal eating pattern can be returned with a permanent prosthesis to be made.

.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES?

It offers full toothless patients the opportunity to have a fixed dental prosthesis with a single surgical procedure on the same day.

The operation is easier because there is no advanced surgical procedure such as sinus lifting (sinus lift surgery), bone addition.

The duration of dental implant surgery is quite short.

Its cost is even lower due to the fact that the number of dental implants used is reduced and does not require additional surgical procedures.

Personalized planning, aesthetic appearance and smile aesthetics are provided.

Easy to clean and maintain.

It is suitable for patients who cannot use movable dental prostheses.

The design is different compared to the palate tooth prosthesis (full tooth prosthesis). It is easier to use because it does not cover the palate of the patient.

Since the number of treatment sessions is small, it is suitable for patients residing outside the city or country.

.
IS IT A RELIABLE TECHNIQUE?

The All On Four technique is a technique that has been successfully applied in dentistry for more than 10 years.

This technique provides patients with a reliable, fast and low-cost treatment option in dentistry.

Although it requires extra cost, technology and skills, it is often used by physicians working in this field and it is seen that a very high success rate is achieved.

.
HOW IS THE CLASSIC IMPLANT DIFFERENT FROM BRIDGES?

In the standard implant technique, implants are placed at an average angle of 90 degrees to the jawbone. A min of six implants are needed to support the bridge teeth prosthesis. In order for the tooth to be made on it, it is necessary to wait for the healing period of three to six months. In addition to these, sometimes a bone graft may need to be applied if the patient does not have enough bone tissue.

.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TRADITIONAL METHOD AND THE ALL ON FOUR TECHNIQUE

All On Four Techniques:

– For a fixed bridge, only four implants are required.

– It is usually a cheaper and more effective solution.

– Most often, treatment can be performed without applying a bone graft.

– Implants and teeth can be installed in the same time frame (within a single appointment).

The traditional method:

– For a stationary treatment, six to eight implants are required.

– It is even more costly, as it requires more implants, surgery and appointments.

– A bone graft is usually needed and the treatment period is longer.

– It requires more than one appointment, a temporary prosthesis should not be installed until the permanent one.

– It requires a six-month recovery phase.

.
COMPLICATIONS OF IMPLANTS

High predictability and long-term success in implant treatment have been well documented. Complications arise, as they can happen after all kinds of prosthetic or surgical procedures. Biological complications including soft tissue reactions, sensory disturbances, progressive marginal bone loss and integration loss have been reported in the literature. Mechanical complications may include fractures or loosening of components in the system.
