12 TIPS TO HELP RELIEVE YOUR SORE THROAT

* Lemon juice

Remove your sore throat by mixing lemon juice with half and half warm water and gargle several times a day. It’s good for the patient. It is slightly acidic, but its astringent and antiseptic effect comes from exactly here. If you don’t have lemon (or leftover), you can also use salt or baking soda and even apple cider vinegar.

* Honey

One tablespoon of honey instantly heals sore throat and the feeling of itching in the throat. But don’t overdo it! Take honey before bed to help you fall asleep without being bothered by unpleasant coughing fits.

* Thyme

When taken as an infusion, thyme is known for respiratory problems in general, including cough and sore throat. Essential oil of thyme can also be preferred: 2-3 drops in a cube of sugar, which is allowed to slowly melt in the mouth.

* Lavender

Also, when taken as an infusion, lavender greatly relieves sore throats. But unlike thyme, it is best not to consume its essential oil.

* Inhalations

Bring a little water to the boil, put it in a large bowl and breathe over your head , wrapping your head in a towel, adding a few drops of eucalyptus, mint or lavender essential oil.

* Echinacea

We no longer earn the reputation of this plant with its many antiviral and antibacterial properties, which is a real elixir for relieving sore throat.

* Water

It is better to drink plenty of water to treat your sore throat and therefore drink plenty of water ! Also if it is too hot (infusions), the benefits will be even better.

* Humid air

Do not superheat the house, especially the bedrooms at night, and keep the air moist, as too dry air increases irritation. For this, you can use a humidifier or put a container of water next to the heater. As the water evaporates, it will create a wetter atmosphere and help relieve sore throats.

* Garlic

Don’t panic, you stay home so your breath doesn’t bother anyone! Garlic is known for its antiseptic properties. Don’t skip the amount and add as much as you like to hot chicken broth and other recipes to quickly cure your sore throat.

* Rest

As with any disease, it is important to stay warm and rest as much as possible so that your body can use all its resources to cure your sore throat and remove bad germs.

* Ice cream sticks

Cold soothes inflammation and thus relieves sore throat. Make your own ice cream sticks from homemade lemonade to replicate the benefits.

* Olive

It may not be very inviting, but a spoonful of olive oil swallowed before bed soothes the irritation and keeps the sore throat out for a while (enough to let you fall asleep).

There are other plants that are known to help cure a sore throat: marshmallow root , sage , greyhound, slippery elm bark , white gravy, narcissus, rosemary infusion… or mouthwash, all is supposed to soothe irritation of a sore throat.
