Two scientific studies conducted abroad have determined that air temperature drops cause itching and trigger eczema by increasing the release of a chemical compound called “histamine”, which is effective on the immune and nervous system in the skin.

With the arrival of the winter season and the rapid decrease in air temperatures, there is an increase in skin problems, Prof. Dr. said, noting that skin dryness is most often encountered in cold weather.
