AN OUTDOOR PARASITE BATH FOR SHEEP IN TURKEY
Some volunteer students at the Veterinary Faculty of Bursa Uludag university (Buu) work in the sheep unit of the Turkish University. Here, the students who carried out all kinds of care and treatment of the sheep, finally disinfected the sheep in the pool, where they filled it with special drugs. The moments when about 200 small animals were introduced into the pool one by one by Turkish and Foreigner students revealed interesting images.
Some students studying in the Turkish Department of Zoo Technics at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine work as volunteers in the sheep unit of the university. Here, students who are interested in every stage of animals, from their feeding to their birth, pour their theoretical education into practice. Volunteer students in Turkey who also clean the traditional farm themselves also take special care of the sick animals.

STUDENTS CONTINUE 800-YEAR-OLD TRADITION

This process is a tradition that has been going on in Turkey for about 800 thousand years. Especially on the Denizli side is better known. Along with the external parasite drugs that we put in it for disinfection, we passed the animals through this bath to be free of external parasites, to be cleaned of debris. We have also taught our colleagues, who will become veterinarians in the future, a tradition that has continued for 800 years. These friends are farm volunteers. Friends who have been volunteering at our farm for about 2 years. Meanwhile, they see farm management. They’re being treated for the disease. They learn by living in the business as a whole,” he said.

AN IMPORTANT PROFESSION FOR THE CONTINUATION OF HUMAN AND ANIMAL LIFE
Stating that veterinary profession is an important profession for the continuation of human and animal life, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine 3rd grade student said, “Today we washed sheep with medicine for external parasite. We got the external interference to pass. It’s a really exhausting job, but it’s a job that’s necessary for the continuation of life. Part of a person’s need for food comes from here. It’s something that needs to happen for the continuation of human life,” he said.
