DENTAL TREATMENT WITH SEDATION AT ONCE

The dental sedation method in Turkey allows the patient to be sedated and dental treatment is easily performed. For those who have a phobia of dentists and those who have a shortage of time, many procedures can be performed at once with sedation

Sitting in a Turkish dentist’s chair can turn into a nightmare not only for children, but also for adults. Fear, a feeling of nausea, staying open your mouth for a long time, not finishing all treatments at the same time and worrying about driving for a long time. Patients can afford to suffer from pain for days or even lose their teeth just to avoid these negativity.

However, all these problems in dental treatment are eliminated with ‘sedation’, which is applied in many countries such as America, England, France and Belgium, especially in Germany, and is defined as ‘falling into a deep sleep without losing consciousness’, and it is possible to treat many teeth in a single session. In patients with advanced blood pressure, the value that rises due to the action of a local anesthetic can also be easily controlled during treatment.

.
IT MEANS CALMING DOWN

Sedation is a deep sleep created by an anesthesiologist when the patient is conscious with certain medications.

Various medications can be used for this procedure, which also means calming. These drugs can be given mostly through a mask placed in the nose, as well as administered intravenously.

In dentistry, sedation in Antalya and Istanbul city Turkey can be performed in people who are very nauseous during the procedure, in people who have too much communication problems to allow treatment, in patients with diabetes, blood pressure problems for a long time, in procedures that may take too long, and sometimes only at the request of the patient. In this process, the patient does not completely lose consciousness and can follow the on-off instructions given to him by the doctor. Sedation transplant not prevent the patient from feeling pain, after sedation, the patient should be additionally anesthetized. At this time, the patient is relieved of his worries and is eligible to cooperate. Since stress does not occur, treatment can be performed comfortably in patients with sugar and blood pressure problems. Fainting, vomiting or fatigue are not observed during the procedure. As soon as the drug is discontinued, its effects on the patient begin to decrease, the patient can be sent home without problems after resting. When the effect of sedation passes, the person does not remember any operations, including anesthesia, performed. The procedure is not addictive and can be repeated as needed.

Even the simplest problem in the mouth, if not treated in a timely manner, can grow and lead to irreversible damage. If even the simplest caries is not treated, it may grow and have to be treated with a root canal, and if this process is delayed, the tooth may be lost. In order not to encounter this situation, regular visits to the dentist are essential. So can these visits or treatments that seem so simple be a nightmare for some?

.
SEDATION OR ANESTHESIA IS SELECTED

Although it does not carry great risks, dental treatments can be scary or stressful procedures for some. Especially people who have had unpleasant experiences during dental treatment at an early age may be afraid of these treatments. It is a fact that businessmen, bureaucrats with busy working lives and time constraints avoid the dentist’s chair and lose their teeth in order to avoid having to undergo long and overwhelming dental treatments. In this case, they have to undergo much longer and more grueling treatments to replace lost teeth and melting bones. There are ways to facilitate treatments such as sedation and general anesthesia in patients who are afraid of this classic dentist and are afraid of the dentist’s chair.

.
TO WHOM CAN IT BE APPLIED?

Sedation can be applied to anyone who wants, including children over a certain age. Sedation is not general anesthesia, it is applied in the dentist’s office, not in a hospital or operating room. The patient can speak quite normally, have a dialogue with the doctor. During the procedure, the patient’s pulse and blood pressure are monitored.

The most ideal solution in cases where sedation is insufficient is general anesthesia (narcosis). Although sedation can be applied smoothly in almost everyone, general anesthesia will be the ideal solution for the patient in some special cases. General anesthesia (narcosis) is a very deep state of sleep. In contrast to sedation, the patient is completely unconscious. The patient can not hear what is being said, he can not respond to the doctor’s commands. It can be easily applied in cases where the patient needs to remain motionless for safety or in special cases where sedation cannot be applied.

.
IN WHICH CASES IS GENERAL ANESTHESIA PREFERABLE?

General anesthesia is essential for patients who cannot communicate with a doctor, have obstacles that cannot perform the commands given for dental treatment, even if sedation is applied, especially if many treatments are considered in one session. In patients who are allergic to the drugs used in sedation, this procedure will be dangerous, in this case, again, general anesthesia will be the first option to be considered.

It will be much healthier for very young children to have a long-term procedure, if it does not allow treatment, to have a procedure where they will be put to sleep or not, rather than having a traumatic dental treatment experience, if it does not allow it. The gag reflex in patients with regional anesthesia and sedation will not work that still would not be enough patients or people who are allergic to these drugs used in anesthesia, for patients with mental disabilities, those with a physical disability to sit in the dentist’s chair again too general anesthesia, dental treatment will be useful in making it seamless.

.
CAN GENERAL ANESTHESIA BE PREFERRED AT THE REQUEST OF THE PATIENT?

Especially for people who cannot devote a long time to their own health due to busy working life, general anesthesia will be a very good opportunity for delayed treatments to be completed in just one session.

In such cases, all the fillings, canal treatments, gum treatments that need to be done by putting the patient to sleep can be done. In fact, with the possibilities provided by technology, it is possible to remove all the teeth that need to be removed in the patient’s mouth and replace them with implant teeth in Antalya and Istanbul and to continue the patient’s daily life in interruption by making temporary teeth on the same day. Even before 3D imaging (tomography) and a successful diagnosis, correctly placed implants can be applied without problems without leaving a margin of error.

Again, bone application and implant, sinus upgrade operations can be performed smoothly on the same day in patients undergoing general anesthesia. And regional anesthesia is not used during all these procedures, unless necessary.

.
IS GENERAL ANESTHESIA RISKY?

Contrary to popular belief, all kinds of risks that may occur due to newly developed systems and drugs have been minimized. During the treatment, all the vital functions of the patient are kept under control by an anesthesiologist. After the end of treatment, the patient is awakened, discharged after a few hours of rest. Depending on the dental treatment done, he can return to his daily life the next day.
