WHICH FOOD HELP RELAX YOUR STOMACH

Turkey Medicals member and Turkish Internal Medicine Specialist Prof. Dr. “For a healthy stomach, it is very important how food in Turkey is consumed as well as organic, fresh and clean,” was said.

If you experience problems such as burning, pain, and indigestion in your stomach from time to time, it is useful to review your eating style. Internal Medicine Specialist Professor Doctor in Turkey gave important tips for a healthy stomach. Here they are…

1- Choose raw foods

Raw or undercooked foods have enough vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, as well as plenty of enzymes. Turkish foods that have been cooked and processed for a long time at high heat are dead foods because they lose useful vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Moreover, they create a heavy burden for the digestive system. Such Turkish foods are difficult to digest, require energy and lead to fatigue. Therefore, 70 percent of daily nutrition should consist of raw vegetables and fruits. In addition, dishes should not be consumed too cold and too hot.

2- Eat slowly and chew well

Food should be eaten slowly, chewed well because the stomach does not have teeth. Solid foods should be chewed enough to become liquid before ingestion. Vegetables, fruits and Greens have solid cell walls that need to be broken to release useful nutrients inside them. When foods are chewed, the cell walls break, micronutrients are released, and salivary enzymes in the mouth are activated. In addition, the number of meals should be increased and the stomach should be prevented from filling suddenly.

3- Do not consume liquids in meals

If a large amount of liquid is consumed in a meal, saliva and stomach secretions are watered, the digestive process slows down. Drink plenty of water between meals, not decoctions. Drinking too much water 30 minutes before meals makes digestion easier. Vegetables and fruits contain 90 percent water, while cooked foods make you thirsty. Tea, coffee and acidic drinks should not be consumed with meals. Very hot, cold, smoked, pickled, canned, salted food should not be consumed. This type of diet can be risky for cancer. Consuming very hot tea in eastern Turkey region Kars, Ardahan and Erzurum provinces is one of the most important causes of esophageal and stomach cancers.

4- Do not mix food too much

It is necessary to combine nutrients appropriately. It is important what; what, how much and when to eat. Our biological ancestors did not consume all kinds of protein, sugar, starch, vegetables and fruits in the same meal. Dense animal protein and starchy carbohydrates should not be eaten together. For example, steak, potatoes, burgers, chips… animal proteins should not be consumed together.decoction. Like meat and cheese, eggs and meat, eggs and milk. Vegetables and greens can be eaten together with all decks of food. Fruits and foods that drink refined sugar should definitely be consumed alone. Eating sweet, fruit, tahini after meals is extremely harmful to digestion.

5- Do not use stomach medication

In Turkey, ulcer drugs are taken indiscriminately. Such drugs should only be used when necessary on the advice of a doctor. Taking these drugs increases the pH of the stomach, especially protein digestion is damaged, vitamin and mineral absorption is disrupted.
