WHAT IS REGRESSION THERAPY, HOW IS IT PERFORMED?

Regression, a method of mental therapy, is among the most researched topics of recent days. regression therapy aims to solve the underlying causes of people’s behavior with the help of therapy. The person thus descends to the source of the problem and, after finding out the reasons, tries to be treated by therapists in Turkey.

So, what is regression therapy? Here is what is curious about regression therapy.

Turkey Medicals – regression therapy aims to solve people’s causeless fears and phobias, relationship problems and psychological problems such as guilt, shame with a shorter treatment. What is regression therapy?

Proponents of regression therapy believe that a traumatic event can often have a lasting impact on a person’s ability to express their emotions and interact with other people, but the person may not easily remember the details of the trauma. Then regression therapy may be useful, because it can help a person to return to trauma in order to understand the impact of trauma on their behavior and choices.

What is regression therapy?

Regression therapy is a treatment approach that focuses on solving important past events that are believed to interfere with a person’s mental and emotional health.

Therapists who practice this approach believe that people seeking treatment for phobias, depression , intimacy problems, and a number of other concerns can see improvement in their state of mind by revisiting and reliving early experiences that influenced the development of these problems

How is regression therapy performed?

Regression therapy focuses on conflict areas and other potentially negative aspects in a person’s life, with the aim of isolating the causes of negative emotions and identifying their causes in order to better address them.

The regression therapist helps the person to enter a relaxed state with the use of deep breathing. Then the role of the therapist becomes to facilitate the process of regression by encouraging them to be as detailed as possible about their environment and the sensory feelings that arise in the process, while the person closes his eyes and speaks out loud about an important past experience. The therapist can also, if necessary, ask the individual to talk about any feelings that arise when the incident is happening again. It is believed that thanks to this process a person can access the subconscious and isolate feelings about the past event.

After these feelings have been isolated and brought to the conscious mind, the therapist and the person can begin to identify possible ways in which they can have a detrimental effect. During the relearning/reprogramming phase, the therapist and the person in the treatment work together to develop alternative ways of identifying the past event, which will better stimulate the sense of resilience in the person and strengthen their ability to adapt.
.

Scientific research supporting the effectiveness of regression therapy is limited, and this approach is somewhat controversial. Research shows that hypnosis is an important factor in the development of false memories, but more research is needed for this.
