NOT BEING ABLE TO SAY ’NO’ LOWERS THE ENERGY!

Emphasizing that the inability to say ‘no’ to avoid breaking the opposite side comes at the beginning of behaviors that reduce energy, experts say that personal perceptions also lead to negative effects. Noting that the pandemic process affects heart and vascular diseases, experts note that the most important determining factor in heart health is living conditions. Experts recommend accepting situations that cannot be changed, doing the right breathing exercises, communicating with people and feeding pets to start the day more motivated and energetic.

Turkey Medicals member hospital department and our Turkish Expert Clinical Psychologist shared his obstacles and recommendations for starting the day more motivated.

.
PERSONAL PERCEPTIONS REDUCE ENERGY

Expert Clinical Psychologist said that dysfunctional attitudes made in daily life should be noticed in order to support psychological well-being and raise the state of energy, and continued as follows:

“At the beginning of behavior that reduces energy, there is an inability to say ‘no’ so as not to offend the opposite side. This situation causes the energy that exists in the person to be depleted. One of the situations that reduces energy during the day and especially forces it in a social sense is personal perceptions. An example is when a friend is told good morning on his way to work, but there is no response from the opposite side. But the main thing is to find out if there is another reason for this behavior before taking it personally. Sleep patterns, eating patterns, and not drinking enough water are also among the physical conditions that decimate energy.”

.
SITUATIONS THAT CANNOT BE CHANGED SHOULD BE ACCEPTED

Emphasizing that looking back to the past and thinking about things that are unlikely to change constantly also completely takes away the energy during the day, said, “There are some situations that create low energy. For example, when working on a project with friends at work, the feeling of not being able to say ‘no’ to the wishes of many people causes the desire to desire new goals to be lost. It is at this point that the vicious circle also begins. It will be the most correct approach to accept situations that cannot be changed despite situations that will be stressful., ” he said.

.
PROPER BREATHING EXERCISES SOOTHE THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS

Stating that doing the right breathing exercises can also play a soothing role against the negative effects that reduce motivation, Expert Clinical Psychologist said, “Although many things are done to please other people, the individual asks himself ‘What am I doing to make my energy and myself happy?’ he needs to ask his question. It’s no use fighting with thoughts that come to mind. When thinking about the contrary, it is more useful to focus on something else or sometimes admit their presence. Motivation can sometimes be lost more easily in long-term goals. Achieving these goals by completing short-term goals in small steps will always keep motivation and daily energy strong.” said.

.
PETS INCREASE ENERGY

Dr. stated that people who can be shared, pets and communication that does not make a person feel lonely necessarily contribute to increasing daily energy,“Especially phone conversations made during curfew are the factors that increase energy during the day. Therefore, the effect of all these phenomena that we are talking about plays a big role in increasing or decreasing motivation.” said.
