PAY ATTENTION TO THOSE WHO HAVE A PEAR-TYPE BODY!

If our upper side is weak but our lower side is very fat, you may be faced with the problem of ‘lipedema’, which affects 15 percent of women in particular.

Known as a problem in terms of weight and aesthetic appearance in society’s notable sightings in women is a genetic disease and is usually lipode, Turkey Medicals member and JCI Antalya hospital professor of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Doctor gives important information about the subject.

.
15 PERCENT OF WOMEN ARE AFFECTED BY LIPEDEMA

In lipedema, swelling can go down to the ankle, and protrusions due to excessive lubrication form on the outside of the thighs. Although the degree of lipedema varies from patient to patient, sometimes it is mild, sometimes it can even prevent walking in patients. This condition, which affects about 15 percent of women, has a very high risk of occurring in more than one female member of the family, and this disease can be caused by hormone disorders and some chronic diseases.

.
IS IT CELLULITE OR OBESITY?

Early-stage signs of lipedema can often be confused with cellulite, and some people can go down the treatment path by contacting people such as a beauty therapist or a medical esthetician for treatment. However, since the beauticians referred outside the doctor cannot distinguish cellulite from lipedema, they may cause an increase in complaints by making incorrect applications. Systems that are considered to be firming, such as hot and mechanical compression, which are widely used in the treatment of cellulite, are not suitable for the treatment of lipedema or even inconvenient. In fact, although cellulite responds positively to these aggressive practices at the beginning, it can recur more heavily in the long run. For this reason, women who think they have cellulite should definitely consult a plastic surgeon and differentiate between cellulite and lipedema before having any application.

.
SLOWS DOWN THE CIRCULATION

As you gain weight, your hips, thighs and legs swell more. But the fat content in the areas that we consider to be losing weight does not decrease, and weight loss occurs at the top of the body. In cases where this condition is not noticed, the person is characterized as overweight or obese. Adipose tissue that accumulates in the lower part of the leg can cause an annular swelling that hangs from the ankle to the foot. Increased swelling of the legs in the afternoon may decrease when sleeping at night. There is a pronounced pain and bruising, especially in the legs. In the early stages, small nodules are formed, which are caused by fatty deposits. In the advanced stages, these fat deposits grow and turn into lobules, that is, large fatty tissues that hang from the skin to the sides. The fats accumulated in the lipoedema slow down the blood circulation, leading to a vicious circle that causes more fat to accumulate. Breast pain during menstruation is also a common condition in lipedema patients.

.
CAN NOT BE TREATED WITH MEDICATION

In order to get rid of excess weight in the modern treatment of lipedema, lymph-sparing vaser liposuction is used, which is applied specifically to lipedema, in which the lymph vessels are protected in combination with a low-fat, low-salt and low-calorie diet. The liposuction to be performed for this purpose is different from liposuction for aesthetic purposes and should be performed in JCI accedited hospital centers experienced in lipedema and by experienced and expert Turkish plastic surgeons. Because in the treatment of lipedema, it is necessary to take large amounts of fat, and special preparation should be carried out to protect patients from possible complications.

Antalya vaser liposuction is the most important difference for lymph protective post-operative complaints such as bleeding and bruising aesthetic liposuction to reduce the use of ordinary instead of a custom corsets corset necessity. Before the operation, a detailed measurement of the patient is taken from the waist to the wrist and it is calculated which area will be thinned by how many inches. A special corset is produced for the patient.
