5 EARLY SIGNS OF PARALYSIS

In Turkey every year about 200 thousand Turkish people have a stroke indicating ‘the chance of treatment increases if the first signals of the disease are taken into account’ he said.

Stroke (stroke), which develops as a result of blockage or bleeding of large vessels leading to the brain or capillaries inside the brain, was the third cause of death in the list of the World Health Organization for the past 20 years. Thanks to rapid advances in medicine, it has become a treatable disease today. But in order for the treatment to be successful, it is necessary to take timely action.

Neurology Specialist Prof. Dr. told about the symptoms of paralysis requiring emergency intervention that should be considered at the first moment… here is the answer.

.
WATCH OUT FOR THESE SIGNALS!

A stroke has symptoms that are not easily noticed, but need to be noticed, and the patient should be taken to the doctor as soon as possible. When we say stroke, we should not forget that this event is sudden, complaints appear in an instant. Here are the first symptoms to consider…

1 – The most common symptom is weakness and numbness in half of the body; inability to lift the arm, leg, numbness complaints. If this condition occurs suddenly, either a vein feeding the brain is blocked, or less likely, bleeding in the brain has occurred.

2 – The Second common complaint is that the patient has difficulty speaking. In the patient, either the words come out of the mouth incomprehensibly, or even if the correct word comes out, there may be difficulty in pronunciation, non-rotation of the language, speech. In addition, a person who has a stroke also has difficulty understanding what the other person is saying. When these complaints occur, a stroke may occur from the left side of the brain, because our speech center is on the left side of our brain.

3 – Sudden dizziness, double vision and imbalance may occur in patients. When the posterior region of the brain is affected by the brainstem stroke, suddenly the patient has signs of dizziness, double vision of objects, or losing balance while walking. This dizziness is not the dizziness experienced when we suddenly get up from where we are sitting. It becomes sudden and violent in a way that has not happened before.

4 – Nausea and vomiting, dizziness and imbalance are very often accompanied by a condition. If a person suddenly becomes unstable and starts vomiting, especially if there is intense vomiting in the style of gushing, a stroke should come to mind first, rather than a stomach problem.

5 – Headache, especially “the most severe headache of my life, as if a bomb explodes in my brain” in the form of headaches should be brought to mind to stroke. Because a severe type of sudden headache can be a sign of stroke. It even reminds you of a special type of cerebral palsy, the explosion of a bubble in the brain called an aneurysm.

.
TWO VITAL WARNINGS

The stroke could be caused by brain hemorrhage, vascular blockage… we shouldn’t take blood thinners on our own, because we can worsen the bleeding. First, doctors must determine what type of stroke they have suffered. In addition, in case of sudden stroke, it is necessary to avoid blood pressure medication. A stroke most often develops in those with high blood pressure, but trying to lower blood pressure while having a stroke further reduces the blood going to the brain.

.
DON’T MISS THE GOLDEN HOURS

5 important symptoms, an ambulance should be called without wasting time. Emergency ambulance services know in detail the nearest stroke centers that can intervene with stroke patients, so getting to the hospital by emergency ambulance rather than by your own vehicle is the most accurate way. Emergency treatment within 4.5 hours of the onset of paralysis is very important. According to studies, thanks to this treatment, one in three patients can recover from stroke damage and fully recover.
