PATIENTS WITH PACEMAKERS SHOULD GET VACCINATED

Turkey Medicals member and Dicle University Department Of Turkish Cardiology Faculty Member Assoc. Doctor, pacemaker patients should not neglect corona virus vaccines, he said.

Associate Professor, Department Of Cardiology, Diyarbakir Tigris University. Dr. said that scientific research has found that about 20 percent of patients lost to the corona virus are caused by a heart rhythm disorder, who warned about patients with pacemakers that are especially shocking, said:

– Patients with pacemakers, especially patients with shock batteries, are people with serious heart problems. We’re more concerned with people with serious heart November problems with heart failure, and they’re more likely to get over the disease if they get Covid. We definitely recommend vaccinating these patients. Because when we look at scientific studies in the literature, we can say that the virus causes and triggers a rhythm disorder. A variety of rhythm disorders can develop due to heart muscle damage, as well as conditions that we call electrode disorders that develop due to kidney failure and kidney muscle failure.

– The virus does not have a positive or negative effect directly on the pacemaker. But since the patients we wear pacemakers are people with heart problems, if they catch the virus, it is more likely to trigger a rhythm disorder, so it can cause shock in patients who have not previously been shocked. What does this mean ? It can trigger a fatal rhythm disorder in the patient.

– The battery also activates, shocking the patient to end this fatal arrhythmia. They can survive severely if caught with the virus, which can lead to severe arrhythmia. It can cause the battery to shock when it has never been shocked before. In addition, we say that all battery patients should be vaccinated so that they do not encounter serious problems later.

– One of the important causes of death in covid diseases is vascular obstruction, heart attack or rhythm disorders that occur, especially due to the effect of Covid on the heart. Especially when some studies abroad looked at the cause of death of patients lost to Covid, it was found that about 20 percent were caused by a heart rhythm disorder.

– This is because people with heart problems are much more likely to develop this rhythm disorder than normal people. Unfortunately, a significant part of these rhythm disorders can be life-threatening, that is, fatal rhythm disorders, so we definitely recommend to our patients to be vaccinated.
